Sony has announced three games that will be arriving in the PlayStation Plus catalog in July 2025, as part of the subscription service’s 15th anniversary celebrations. Interested parties in PlayStation Plus can choose between three membership plans that grant them access to hundreds of games across several genres, as well as online play with multiplayer access, and exclusive discounts, add-ons, and content packs.
Every month, Sony changes the roster of games to play at no extra cost through the subscription service, and June 2025 is a good month for PlayStation Plus members. Stellar PlayStation exclusives, such as God of War Ragnarok and The Last of Us Part 1, were included in the line-up, alongside The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cult of the Lamb, and thanks to the platform’s anniversary, gamers will be playing well going into July too.
Sony Facing Class Action Lawsuit Over PlayStation Store
A consumer group in the Netherlands files a class-action lawsuit against Sony for allegedly inflating digital game prices on the PlayStation Store.
Sony announced Diablo 4, The King of the Fighters 15, and Jusant will all be available to play for PlayStation Plus members in July. Available between July 1 and August 4, fans can explore Don’t Nod’s 2023 puzzle platform game Jusant, blow off some steam in KOF Studio and SNK’s 2022 fighting entry The King of Fighters 15, and face Lilith in Blizzard’s hit action RPG dungeon-crawler Diablo 4.
PlayStation Plus Confirms Three Free Games for July 2025
- Diablo 4
- The King of Fighters 15
- Jusant
As with all things, Sony’s platform must maintain a balance, which is why PlayStation Plus will be losing a set of games in July 2025 while gaining the aforementioned three. At least six titles will be removed from the catalog, including Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, and Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, but PlayStation subscribers were very excited to hear about the free July games, describing the additions as a “solid” line-up.
As PlayStation evolves with the newer generation of consoles and games, PlayStation Plus members will witness the end of an era soon. Sony confirmed that the service will no longer be offering PS4 games within the subscription, something that used to be a major benefit for subscribers. Therefore, players only have a limited amount of time to soak up the nostalgic era, before new PS4 titles stop being added to PS Plus Essential monthly games and the PS Plus Extra library.
