PlayStation Plus subscribers are officially running out of time to claim the latest free games. PlayStation Plus free games, available to Essential, Extra, and Premium tier subscribers, are up for grabs for about a month at a time. If PS Plus subscribers claim the free games during their window of availability, they are free to keep forever as long as one stays signed up for the service.

Even though it's now November, the free PS Plus games for October 2025 are still available. Award-winning horror game Alan Wake 2 is the headliner alongside critically-acclaimed puzzler Cocoon and hilarious open world co-op sandbox game Goat Simulator 3. This is one of the better lineups that PS Plus has seen all year long, so subscribers should definitely be sure to claim the free games while they're still up for grabs.

Every Monthly Game Added To PS Plus

New monthly PlayStation Plus games! Sony is always adding goodies to its subscription service. The January 2026 Extra games have been revealed.

Unfortunately, today is the last day that Alan Wake 2, Cocoon, and Goat Simulator 3 will be free through PS Plus. The three games will be replaced on Tuesday, November 4 with the November 2025 free games, which haven't been met with nearly the same kind of fanfare. In any case, starting November 4, PS Plus subscribers will be able to snag EA Sports WRC 24, Stray, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator.

What Are the Current Free PS Plus Games?

  • Alan Wake 2 - Until November 4
  • Cocoon - Until November 4
  • Goat Simulator 3 - Until November 4

All three games earned mostly positive reviews, but compared to the October 2025 offerings, PS Plus subscribers can't be faulted if they're feeling a little disappointed. Alan Wake 2 won multiple awards at the time of its release, while Cocoon and Goat Simulator 3 are popular games in their own right. Beyond that, Stray was a day one PS Plus Extra game when it first launched, so those who are signed up for the higher tiers have already had access to it. So, it's not all that surprising that there has been a relatively negative sentiment aimed at the November lineup.

PS Plus free games are a bit of a rollercoaster. One month might be overloaded, while the next can be disappointing to some. Still, the good news is that the free PS Plus games are updated every month, so subscribers don't have to wait long to claim a fresh batch of titles. The free PS Plus games for December 2025 will be revealed at the end of the month, and between now and then, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can look forward to an update for those tiers of the service on Tuesday, November 18.
