Sony has confirmed the four titles that will be leaving PlayStation Plus in October 2025, and subscribers may want to give these games a try before they're removed from the popular service. PlayStation Plus refreshes its available games each month, with some titles being removed while fresh picks are added for Extra and Premium members to enjoy.
PlayStation Plus members can enjoy a rotating selection of games each month, with the service's highest tier, Premium, offering access to classic PS, PS2, and PSP titles as well. Ahead of the spooky Halloween season, several indie horror games are now available as part of the September 2025 lineup for PS Plus, including Conscript and Crow Country. The latter has been incredibly well-received by the community, inspired by early PlayStation horror titles like Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Players take on the role of investigator Mara Forest as she seeks to discover the haunting secrets dwelling within an abandoned theme park. Other highlights this month include Persona 5 Tactica, The Invincible, and WWE 2K25.

Games Leaving PlayStation Plus in October 2025
- Battlefield 1 (PS4)
- Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed (PS4, PS5)
- Tour de France 2023 (PS4, PS5)
- The Last Clockwinder (PS VR2)
As more games are introduced to the popular subscription service, others will be removed to make way for these fresh additions. Sony has confirmed that, on October 21, four games will be leaving PS Plus: Battlefield 1, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Tour de France 2023, and The Last Clockwinder. While 2016's Battlefield 1 remains a fan favorite in the franchise, players will likely be busy with Battlefield 6, which releases on October 10. The asymmetrical multiplayer title Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed may be a popular title for the Halloween season, while Tour de France 2023 offers a realistic depiction of the popular bicycle racing event. For those with a PlayStation VR2, The Last Clockwinder is a puzzle title that was nominated for several awards following its 2022 release, including Immersive Reality Game of the Year at the 26th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards.
Several games left PS Plus in September 2025, including Road 96, UFC 5, Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir, and Pistol Whip. Disappointingly, the wholesome action-adventure title The Plucky Squire was also removed from the Extra and Premium tiers. Released in 2024, the popular game follows several storybook characters who discover a 3D world beyond the confines of their tome.
Those utilizing their PS Plus subscription on Sony's flagship console will want to keep an eye out, as a new PS5 system update for September 2025 is now live. The patch enables players to connect their DualSense controllers to multiple devices at once, and also adds the "Power Saver" mode, which promises to scale back performance to reduce the console's energy consumption.
