PlayStation has confirmed that two more titles are set to leave PS Plus this month, as multiple entries from The Dark Pictures Anthology, which include House of Ashes and Devil in Me, will soon be removed from the service. Supermassive Games' story-driven titles are among the latest confirmed to be leaving PS Plus in October, following the previously announced departure of titles like Battlefield 1, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, and others, which will also be leaving sometime this month.

PS Plus Aug 2025 Titles Explained

Back in September, the 'Last Chance to Play' section of PlayStation Plus was updated to reveal the removal of four different games. Battlefield 1, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Tour de France 2023, and the PSVR2 title The Last Clockwinder will be leaving the service in order to make way for new entries. For those who may be unaware, PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers are granted access to a huge catalog of games, similar to its competitor, Xbox Game Pass. There's also PlayStation Plus Premium, the highest tier of the service, which also includes the same catalog of games and more, including a line-up of classic titles from the PS1, PS2, and PS3.

Recent PS Plus Addition is Way Better Than When It Was First on the Service

A game that first joined PlayStation Now in 2021 is now available on PS Plus Extra with major improvements that have impressed longtime fans.

Initially, it seemed as though only four games would be leaving PlayStation Plus in October 2025, but it looks like that's not the case. As spotted by Push Square, the 'Last Chance to Play' section has once again been updated, this time with two more titles: The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes and The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me. Both entries in the series were included in the game catalog for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Their removal also comes at an unfortunate time, as many fans were likely hoping to replay the series in the build-up to Directive 8020, Supermassive Games' next title, which is set to release early next year.

All PlayStation Plus Games Leaving in October 2025

  • Battlefield 1 (PS4)
  • Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed (PS4, PS5)
  • Tour de France 2023 (PS4, PS5)
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes (PS4, PS5)
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me (PS4, PS5)
  • The Last Clockwinder (PSVR2)

That now brings the total number of games leaving the service this month to six, but the good news is that it's going to be a significant month for new additions. For subscribers of all three tiers, PlayStation Plus is giving away 3 big games in October, including Alan Wake 2 for PS5, Goat Simulator 3 for PS4 and PS5, and Cocoon for PS4 and PS5. All three titles will be available to download from October 7 and will be free to keep for PlayStation Plus subscribers as long as they are claimed before the next batch of titles rolls around in November.

If that wasn't enough for subscribers, PlayStation also just added one of the best games of all time to PS Plus Extra with The Last of Us Part 2 for PS4 and The Last of Us Part 2: Remastered for PS5. The announcement was made during the most recent State of Play, which took place on September 24, and is now available for download as long as users have an active subscription to either PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium.
