Some PlayStation Plus subscribers will get a different free game in November 2023, as players in the Middle East will get access to Tropico 5 instead of Mafia 2: Definitive Edition. All PS Plus members get around three games every month as a part of their subscription, and users can continue playing these titles until they decide to cancel the service.

Sony recently revealed the free monthly PlayStaton Plus games for November 2023, confirming that Dragon Ball: The Breakers, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, and Mafia 2: Definitive Edition will be available to subscribers. Fans can start playing these titles from November 7, but they must add the games to their accounts by December 4. Now, it looks like PS Plus users in the Middle East aren’t getting Mafia 2: Definitive Edition this month, as it has been replaced by Tropico 5.

This information comes from the official PlayStation account for the region, confirming that PS Plus subscribers will get Tropico 5, Dragon Ball: The Breakers, and Aliens: Fireteam Elite this month. As seen in the image, users can start playing these games from November 7, but they will have until December 5 to claim them. Tropico 5 was given out as a free PS Plus game in May 2016, so some subscribers may have redeemed it back then. Additionally, Tropico 5 is also a part of the catalog of games available to PS Plus Extra and Premium members, allowing gamers in these tiers to play it right now.

PlayStation Plus members can sometimes get access to a different game, specifically in cases where a particular title hasn’t been released in their region. It's also possible for gamers to receive an extra game in addition to the lineup available worldwide. As an example, PS Plus subscribers in Asia got to play Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris as a bonus game in February 2023. It was added to the catalog alongside Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Evil Dead: The Game, Mafia: The Definitive Edition, and OlliOlli World, making it a total of five titles for the month.

Sony is yet to reveal the list of titles coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium in November 2023, and it’ll be interesting to see if some regions get access to a different game. Unlike the free monthly titles, fans will not be able to play these games once they leave the PS Plus library, as Sony refreshes the catalog in the middle of each month.
