The old ad appears to be placed in the Park Tavern on Stroud Green Road. The user expressed delight, stating how glad they were that the pub still had the ad for this PlayStation 1 strategy game after such a long time. Another player responded to the tweet, mentioning that this wasn't an isolated occurrence. More than a decade ago, a similar advertisement for Hogs of War was discovered in a UK pub called North Star, though it's not entirely clear if it has been removed by now.
During the initial release of Hogs of War, the game ran an advertising campaign in the UK, including posters strategically placed in the men's toilets of various pubs. Apparently, some tavern owners decided to keep it, and even after many years, this somewhat underrated PS1 game still resonates with some players.
In October, Hogs of War Lardcore launched a Kickstarter campaign aiming to raise £150,000 to complete a remaster of the game.
