Since the release of the PlayStation 4 back in November 2013, Sony has continually found ways to breathe new life into its hardware juggernaut. This has been done by way of limited edition versions of the console as well as through the release of a great variety of DualShock controllers. From bold colors to game-inspired designs, there have been a plethora of PS4 DualShocks for fans to select from, and the purpose of this guide is to provide a comprehensive look at the controllers that Sony has made available.
Pursuant to this objective, not all of the PlayStation 4 DualShocks depicted here will be readily available for purchase. While indeed many can be obtained right now through various retailers, some of the DualShock 4s below are limited edition or exclusive to bundles. Fans that would like to add one of these rarer PS4 DualShocks to their collections can likely find a way to do so, but it may not be as easy as simply buying a new controller in one of the more readily available styles.
Additionally, this PS4 DualShock guide only includes controllers that have been officially released by Sony. That means that third-party DualShock 4s and controllers that have only been licensed by Sony will not be found here.

With the PS5 release date expected to come in just over a year's time, it may not be long before Sony puts an end to releasing new DualShock 4 colors and editions. However, until this new console arrives, players can continue to enjoy their DualShock 4s, and as this PlayStation 4 DualShock guide demonstrates, there are certainly a variety of these controllers to choose from.
