The rise of the digital market has made it easier than ever to purchase games on a budget. The PS Store has frequent sales with deep discounts, so someone does not have to break the bank to get themselves a slew of excellent releases. That said, for some people, purchasing a digital copy of a game will never be the same as owning a physical version.
There is just something satisfying about accumulating an expansive library of tangible products, but such a hobby can be quite expensive, especially if that person prioritizes obscure projects or only purchases new copies. However, if a player is only looking for quality titles at a decent price, the second-hand scene is absolutely packed with awesomeness. Here are some fantastic PS4 horror games that have cheap used copies on Amazon .
At the moment, these games cost less than $20, but please note that prices fluctuate constantly.

Developer |
Behaviour Interactive |

Subgenre |
Asymmetrical Multiplayer |
Friday The 13th: The Game, Evolve, Predator: Hunting Grounds, and Propnight have all taken a stab at asymmetrical horror, to varying degrees of success. Each one of these games has its positives, but none of them have amassed as dedicated of a following as Dead by Daylight. And, when it comes to this subgenre of horror, a game's popularity is important since it loses all its value once players stop showing up.
Thanks to rock-solid mechanics and frequent updates that introduce new survivors and killers, Dead by Daylight is constantly evolving while rewarding players who stick around. If someone wants to try this type of game, Dead by Daylight is the best one to pick up.

Survival Horror |
Over the decades, there have been more than a few Alien games, and some of them are even pretty decent. However, it would take until 2014 for the license to produce a genuinely terrifying game, and Alien: Isolation was worth the wait.
As Ripley's daughter, Amanda, players find themselves stuck in a space station with a familiar threat. Through sophisticated AI and a well-designed map, the game succeeds in presenting the Xenomorph as the ultimate terror, doing justice to the sci-fi monster's legacy.
Resident Evil 2

Capcom |

Subgenre |
Third-Person Shooter |
Capcom's Resident Evil has been on a roll since the launch of the seventh numbered entry, producing great game after great game. While Resident Evil 7 and Village took the series in an exciting new direction, it was a return to the old ways that led to the horror franchise reaching heights it had not witnessed for more than a decade.
2019's Resident Evil 2 is the standard that every modern remake should aspire to replicate. While retaining the core appeal of the original version, the remake modernizes everything about the project, delivering an experience so good, that it is now the definitive way to experience this story.
Prey

May 5, 2017 |
|---|---|
|
Developer |
Arkane Studios |
|
Subgenre |
First-Person Shooter |
Arkane Studios has been steadily crafting ambitious first-person shooters for more than a decade, dating all the way back to 2006's underrated Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Prey marks the studio's only foray into horror to date, and Arkane managed to knock it out of the park on their first try.
Set on the intricately designed Talos 1 space station, Prey is an intense sci-fi thriller that feels reminiscent of epics like BioShock. Like most of Arkane's projects, Prey blends a few genres – RPG, stealth, horror – to create something that is unique and captivating.
Back 4 Blood
|
Release Date |
October 12, 2021 |
|---|---|
|
Developer |
Turtle Rock Studios |
|
Subgenre |
Multiplayer Shooter |
A 2021 release, Back 4 Blood is already available for an attractive price, which is not that unusual for a predominantly multiplayer project (although the campaign can also be played solo). Taking a few pages from Left 4 Dead's playbook, Back 4 Blood drops a group of players in a series of levels and challenges them to survive against hordes of zombie-type creatures known as The Ridden.
The gunplay is quite solid, and there is also an element of customization through a card system that impacts a level's gameplay. Although it does not reach the heights of Valve's masterpieces, Back 4 Blood is an enjoyably chaotic first-person shooter.
Until Dawn

|
Developer |
Supermassive Games |
|
Subgenre |
Interactive Drama |
As Supermassive Games get ready to unleash its latest horrorfest on the world, this is the perfect time to revisit arguably the quintessential PS4 horror game. A console exclusive, Until Dawn was an early hit for Sony's platform, and the game is still only available on the PS4 (and PS5 through backward compatibility).
Taking inspiration from classic horror movies and games, Until Dawn puts the lives of eight characters in the player's hands, tasking them with making decisions that will determine who lives to see another day. While the campaign does not have much gameplay, Until Dawn's branching paths greatly enhance its replayability.
