Unlike most other MMO titles where the players grind in a single run to build and expand their territory or rank continuously, Once Human introduces a system known as Scenarios, which requires the players to start from scratch almost every month.
In Once Human, each scenario offers a different map, game mode, and gameplay rules. While this wipes the player's progress from the recent scenario, they get to store everything they achieved in a secluded land known as Eternaland. This is where the players build their home and customize it to their liking, but there are no threats or shooting in this region.
All the actions happen in scenarios, and they have a limited time in certain phases. So, each scenario wraps up in a certain amount of time, requiring the player to make progress and beat the scenario bosses within the timeframe to get the most out of their thrilling journey.
