The PS5 Pro has officially been revealed, boasting a better GPU, higher speeds, advanced ray tracing, and AI-driven upscaling. While the PS5 Pro offers some significant upgrades over the base model, its hefty price tag has been met with controversy. Nevertheless, Sony has already confirmed plenty of games that will be enhanced by the PS5 Pro when it launches in November.
At the moment, there are only thirteen games that have been confirmed to be enhanced by the PS5 Pro. However, there are reportedly plans for 40 or 50 more games to receive an enhancement patch after the console launches.

Sony's PS5 Pro announcement lends more credence to an old rumor claiming that a new PlayStation handheld console is in the works.
Every Game Enhanced by the PS5 Pro So Far
The PS5 Pro Is Launching Alongside Enhancements for Over a Dozen Confirmed Games
Sony has already confirmed thirteen titles that will be enhanced by the PS5 Pro, some of which are among 2023's best games. Games that have been confirmed to receive the PS5 Pro enhancement treatment include:
- Alan Wake 2
- Assassin’s Creed Shadows
- Demon’s Souls
- Dragon’s Dogma II
- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
- Gran Turismo 7
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
- The Crew Motorfest
- The First Descendant
- The Last of Us Part II Remastered
Included in the list of games enhanced by the PS5 Pro are several major titles from the last couple of years. From 2022 comes Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon Forbidden West, both of which already feature excellent visuals on the PS5, so seeing them enhanced by the raw power of the PS5 Pro will be even more eye candy for fans. Popular games from 2023 receiving enhancement patches for the PS5 Pro include Hogwarts Legacy, Alan Wake 2, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which means these games may see a steady rise in their player count once the PS5 Pro launches in November.
Other titles confirmed to be enhanced by the PS5 Pro are several notable 2024 games, like Dragon's Dogma 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, The First Descendant, and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. Each of these games is distinguished for its visual spectacle, which means that sentiment will be even more true once they are all enhanced by the PS5 Pro. One outlier in the list of games confirmed to be enhanced by the PS5 Pro is Assassin's Creed Shadows, which won't launch until a week after the PS5 Pro's release. This may give Assassin's Creed Shadows a bit of an advantage over the others since it is the only new release on the current list.
More Games Will Receive a PS5 Pro Patch When the Console Launches
For those who may not think thirteen enhanced games is enough incentive to purchase a PS5 Pro, Sony has already confirmed that around 40 or 50 other titles will receive an enhancement patch after the console launches in November. The timeline for these updates isn't currently known, so it could be that these patches will come out weeks or months after the PS5 Pro's release. Nevertheless, at least the list of games being enhanced by the PS5 Pro will inevitably be quite a bit longer than it is right now.
Even with all of the games being enhanced by the PS5 Pro, that still may not be enough to convince some fans to purchase the $700 console, as that makes it $200 more expensive than the base model — unlike the PS4 Pro, which was initially the same price as the base PS4's introductory cost. Perhaps those who still only have a PS4 will be looking to skip the PS5 entirely and go straight to the PS5 Pro when it is released in November. In any case, there seems to already be a good handful of great-looking games set to be enhanced by the PS5 Pro, and there is still more to come.
Sony's PlayStation 5 is part of the ninth console generation and debuted with a launch lineup that included Demon's Souls and Astro's Playroom. The console comes with a Blu-ray disc, although a digital-only edition is also available for a cheaper price.
