Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb describes the PS5 Pro hardware leak as "almost certainly real." He goes on to say that the exact specs are not finalized, but also talks about a new technology developed by Sony that is essentially a proprietary DLSS that uses machine learning to upscale visuals "so they can run things at a really high resolution and a really high framerate." This upscaling technology is apparently the main feature that will set the PS5 Pro apart from the original and slim consoles. Grubb also talks about the release date, saying that it will potentially arrive in September 2024.

This new information lines up perfectly with previous rumors about the PS5 Pro release date. With that said, anything can happen, and PlayStation fans will now have to patiently wait for Sony to officially unveil its new console. Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson, who appears to have known about the PS5 Pro for some time, has said that Sony anticipated the hardware to leak.

Rumors about Sony shipping PS5 Pro dev kits can probably also be taken more seriously at this point. Those rumors specifically mentioned dev kits being shipped to first-party developers, but they could also be in the hands of some third party studios that Sony has historically worked closely with, such as FromSoftware or Square Enix. While this is purely speculation, it seems likely that the leak could have come from someone who has had access to a PS5 Pro dev kit.
