Summary

  • PUBG launches a dating sim on April 1 called Winner Winner Romantic Dinner, where players can chat with their firearms, which have their own personalities and character traits.
  • Alongside the dating sim, a new cooperative in-game event will be available until April 8.
  • Players can earn various rewards by participating in both the dating sim and the cooperative event.

Starting April 1 and running until April 29, PUBG: Battlegrounds invites players to experience its new Winner Winner Romantic Dinner—a limited-time dating sim that lets them date and chat with their firearms. Alongside this romantic twist, PUBG: Battlegrounds players can also participate in a new cooperative in-game event running from April 1 to April 8.

PUBG has come a long way since its initial release in 2017, when it took the industry by storm with its battle royale gameplay, inspired by the Japanese film Battle Royale (2000). The game features realistic weapons and pits players (or teams) against each other in a shrinking map, battling to be the last ones standing. Compared to the games the genre has spawned since, PUBG has a steep learning curve and a slower pace. While it was incredibly popular at launch, it no longer holds the same dominance. Nevertheless, developer Krafton continues to support the game, releasing updates and introducing fresh content—now taking an unexpected romantic turn for a limited time.

Krafton is teaming up with ReLU Games to bring the Winner Winner Romantic Dinner experience to PUBG players. This limited-time dating sim marks April Fools’ Day and invites players to “get to know” PUBG’s firearms. As curious as it sounds, players can interact with fully voiced weapons that have their own “feelings” and personalities, all set within a high school in the PUBG universe. Playing as a student, they must prepare for the school festival, immersing themselves in a branching storyline with multiple endings.

How Long Is Winner Winner Romantic Dinner Available?

  • April 1–29

In a completely different experience from PUBG’s usual battle royale gameplay, players can now find creative ways to win over the hearts of their favorite weapons. Participating in the Winner Winner Romantic Dinner experience allows players to earn themed nameplates and Contraband Coupons, along with other rewards such as sprays, emblems, and G-Coin, until April 29.

On top of that, players can take part in the Land, Love, Survive cooperative event, which tasks them with completing various missions to earn rewards. Missions include things like sending a friend request, performing a revival, surviving 15 minutes in a single match, and more. The event runs from April 1 to April 8, offering rewards such as Event Tokens, Hunter's Chest, Contraband Coupons, and more.

Krafton has also provided some notes for players to keep in mind when playing the new dating sim experience, including technical recommendations for mobile users. Players can access Winner Winner Romantic Dinner via the in-game lobby banner or the official event website.
