PUBG: Battlegrounds update 37.2 is now available for download on PC and will soon be making its way to consoles. The latest version of the hit battle royale shooter introduces a G-Dragon collaboration, multiple Miramar tweaks, and a variety of gameplay changes, among over a dozen other novelties expanding on PUBG: Battlegrounds.
PUBG typically releases major updates on a monthly basis. The last such patch debuted in mid-August 2025, bumping the game's version number up to 37.1 and introducing a Bugatti collaboration, DMR rebalancing, and UI tweaks.
PUBG Battlegrounds: 8 Best Assault Rifles, Ranked
Players who prefer to wield assault rifles in PUBG Battlegrounds will love what the following weapons have to offer.
PUBG: Battlegrounds Launches G-Dragon Collaboration
Krafton subsidiary PUBG Studios has now followed up on that move with yet another update, which rolled out on September 10 for PC and will reach consoles on September 18. Identified by version number 37.2, this release centers on a collaboration with South Korean rapper and singer Kwon Ji-yong, better known by his stage name G-Dragon. To that end, themed G-Dragon Emote Stages have been added to some starting islands of Taego, Rondo, Deston, Erangel, and Miramar. Performing any G-Dragon emote on them will trigger a corresponding album cover to display on their built-in screens. The stages are only interactable until the players board the plane at the start of the match and will disappear afterward. They are available in Casual, Ranked, and Normal modes.
The 37.2 update also revamps the Minas Generales section of the PUBG: Battlegrounds Miramar map. Layout changes include new looting spots and structures, the repositioning of certain buildings, and adjustments to the surrounding landscape to improve accessibility. Portions of the terrain have been leveled and some structures removed, with PUBG Studios saying these changes are intended to improve visibility and make it easier to read combat situations.
Update 37.2 also introduces new interaction mechanics, allowing players to move deathboxes, pull doors, and use destructible gas tanks for smoke cover. These additions apply to every PUBG mode and map. The patch marks the arrival of a new Survivor Pass and refreshes Intense Battle Royale with the addition of the Paramo and Karakin maps, updated Miramar pickups, and a Blue Zone speed increase. The other seasonal Arcade mode, Team Deathmatch, has also received updates, introducing two new Erangel maps—Boatyard and Shooting Range—and the Destructible Terrain feature for the Taego and Rondo maps, among over half a dozen other changes.
A new Survivor Pass with unique rewards is also part of the recently released package, as are two additional Workshop item sets for Archivist's Chest and Hunter's Chest. The 37.2 patch is one of the final updates for last-gen consoles, as PUBG: Battlegrounds is dropping PlayStation 4 and Xbox One support on November 13.

- You can either join the emote on the stage or watch from below the stage by using the Interaction key.
- Only G-DRAGON emotes can be performed on the stage.
- The G-DRAGON Emote Stage on the starting islands can be utilized from the start of the match until players board the plane; once they do, the previously positioned stage will disappear.
- Available in Normal Match, Ranked, and Casual Mode.
World: Miramar Changes - Minas Generales Area Modifications
- Revamped the overall layout, introducing new structures and looting spots.
- Replaced and repositioned some buildings.
- The surrounding landscape has been enhanced for better accessibility.
- Removed certain structures and simplified the terrain to make combat situations easier to read.
- Adjusted the surrounding terrain and added cover to improve combat balance between high and low ground.
World: Miramar Changes - Spawns
- Vending Machines and Destructible Pots have been added.
- Fixed spawn spots for the Inflatable Boat have been added to Miramar, but the total spawn quantity remains unchanged.
The changes apply to both Normal Match and Ranked modes.
World: Miramar Changes - Miscellaneous
- Improved the overall visuals of older buildings on Miramar.
- Improved the interior lighting of buildings across the map.
Dev’s comment: In Update 37.2, the Minas Generales area of Miramar is receiving a number of changes. To provide smoother and more enjoyable gameplay, we’ve updated the overall layout, loot spots, and terrain. In particular, the rocky high ground previously offered an overwhelming advantage even against the highest ridge within Minas Generales. To address this, we’ve removed and repositioned certain structures and added additional cover. We’ve also improved the visuals of older buildings across Miramar and updated indoor lighting to enhance the overall gameplay experience.
World: Taego Changes
- Billboards have been added to Taego.
Gameplay Changes: New Interactions - Movable Deathboxes (All Modes)
Now you can use deathboxes to lure unsuspecting loot goblins to their demise.
- You can now reposition deathboxes using the Secondary Interaction key.
- While carrying a deathbox, item use and most other Interactions are restricted.
- The deathbox will be dropped automatically when the character’s state changes, such as being knocked, falling, or getting into a vehicle.
- Attacks on deathboxes carried by characters will penetrate and apply damage to the character.
- Related animations and sound effects have been added.
Gameplay Changes: New Interactions - Pull Door (All Modes)
- You can now pull doors open or closed using the Secondary Interaction key.
- An Interaction UI will appear when a door can be pulled.
- To align with these changes, the previous ‘Open Door’ feature has been renamed to ‘Push Door.’
Dev’s comment: We’ve all had those moments—finally taking down an enemy, only to walk away empty-handed because the deathbox was stuck in a bad spot. From now on, you’ll be able to loot safely and comfortably from more secure positions! You can even use deathboxes tactically to lure enemies. Just keep in mind that while carrying one, you’ll be more vulnerable to enemy fire, so stay alert. We’ve also added a “Pull Door” feature, making it possible to open doors from either side. This gives you more tactical options, like opening a door inward to escape or to bait enemies even when an obstacle is blocking the way.
Gameplay Changes: New Interactions - Destructible Gas Tank (All Modes)
Destructible Gas Tanks have been added to Miramar and Taego.
- When destroyed, a smoke cloud is created and lasts for a certain duration.
- Can also be destroyed if hit by a vehicle.
- Applies to all modes except Survivors Left Behind and Hungers Left Behind.
Dev’s comment: Destructible Gas Tanks are coming to the Battlegrounds with Update 37.2. When destroyed, they explode and release smoke that blocks players’ vision. Alongside items like Smoke Grenades or the M79, this interactive world object is designed to provide new cover options. With the addition of Destructible Gas Tanks, we aim to create more opportunities for tactical play and deliver a dynamic combat experience.
Gameplay Changes: New Interactions - C4 (All Modes)
We’ve made several adjustments to C4.
- C4’s damage over distance has been reduced.
-
The beeping sound can now be heard more clearly and from farther away.
- The audible range has been increased by about 25%.
- The volume in certain ranges has been boosted, making the beep easier to hear.
- When the timer is active, it can now be disabled by explosive damage.
Dev’s comment: With Update 37.2, C4 is receiving a number of changes. Since its introduction into Ranked, C4 has opened up a variety of strategic options, but it has also created situations that are hard to defend against, such as attaching it to vehicles and charging straight at enemies. With this update, we aim to give players more opportunities to respond quickly. In particular, as C4 can now be disabled even after being deployed, we expect it to open up more tactical options in combat.
