Krafton has officially unveiled PUBG: BLINDSPOT, its new game confirmed for PC via Steam. The announcement also revealed details and shared a new gameplay trailer, as well as saying when players will be able to get a sneak peek at Krafton's game.

Released in 2017, PUBG: Battlegrounds is one of the pioneers of multiplayer online battle royale games. With realistic graphics and gameplay elements reminiscent of classic titles such as H1Z1 and Arma 3, it follows the well-known premise in which 100 players enter and only one comes out as the winner. To secure the victory popularly known as “chicken dinner,” players must find weapons and equipment to survive on iconic maps such as Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok. Although PUBG is far from its prime, the game continues to receive support through periodic updates.

Expanding this universe, Krafton has officially announced PUBG: BLINDSPOT, which will be released at a date to be determined. Currently confirmed for PC only, the game formerly known as Project ARC is a 5v5 top-down tactical shooter focused on strategy, fast-paced combat, and realistic gameplay. The shared trailer features renowned PUBG player Matt “Kickstart” Smith, and showcases what players can expect. On one side, the attacking team must secure an entry route into a building, and deploy the device called a decrypter. The defenders, meanwhile, must prevent their opponents from entering by using barricades and other measures.

Players curious to check out PUBG: BLINDSPOT will have their first chance soon, as a playable demo will be released on Steam on February 20 at 11 pm ET. According to the official page on Valve's platform, the demo will include 10 exclusive characters with their own weapons and special tools. Some examples include well-known weapons such as the Mk14, AWM, and P90, and gadgets like smoke grenades and flashbangs. The demo will also feature three deathmatch maps and four demolition mission maps. Although Krafton hasn't revealed whether the new game will feature the iconic PUBG: Battlegrounds maps, the developers said in the announcement that they will collect feedback from players to refine and improve the game.

With a premise and gameplay reminiscent of titles such as Rainbow Six Siege, the official unveiling of PUBG: BLINDSPOT is a new chapter in Krafton's business strategy.
