How To Detect New Symptoms In Quarantine Zone: The Last Check
While carrying out inspections for symptoms in newly arrived survivors, players need to be on the lookout for new symptoms every now and again.
For example, a new skin rash could be spotted, but it won't appear on the list of symptoms. Another example would be using the Stethoscope and hearing a new noise, such as a low growl, almost like a lion.
What To Do When You Spot A New Symptom
If you suspect a new Symptom, send the survivor to the Laboratory instead of sending them to Quarantine or Liquidation. You can either follow them to the lab immediately or wait till the end of the day after completing all checks.
Be warned that you are condemning this individual to death, as they will not survive the procedure in the Laboratory.
If you have multiple survivors who could have new symptoms, hold them in Quarantine temporarily, as the Laboratory can only hold one person at a time.

How To Use The Laboratory In Quarantine Zone: The Last Check
After sending a survivor to the laboratory, you should see them in a circular glass cage. Head over to the computer to start the process of removing a desired organ.
Extracting Organs
The aim is to extract a specific organ, the shape of which will be shown in a box. The target organ will be highlighted green, and can be extracted by holding down (E/X/Square).
However, there will be other organs in the way, blocking access to the target. Players can use the laser by holding down (LMB/RT/R2) to destroy these organs if they are highlighted in yellow.
Be careful, though, as any organs highlighted in red should not be destroyed. Doing so twice will fail the experiment.
During this process, players can use WASD controls or the Left Stick to move around the target, as well as up and down.
Analyzing Organs
After successfully extracting an organ, look in the box behind and pick it up with (LMB/RT/R2) and drop it into the Sample Creator. Click to begin the process.
This will produce a test tube, which can also be picked up, and this time placed inside the analyzer. Click to begin analyzing.

New Symptom Found Or Not
Now for the moment of truth. If the survivor had a new, previously undetected symptom, they will see a menu pop up informing them of their new discovery. This symptom will then be added to the chart for all future checks.
If not, that poor survivor died for nothing.
Each symptom is part of a three-part chain, with one green symptom, one orange, and one red. Finding all three will reward the player with bonus Research Points.
Bonus
There is also an RP bonus for completing the organ extraction part of this procedure within a short time frame and making no mistakes. Don't bother with this for your first few tries, as rushing could result in failure and missing out on finding a new symptom.
