Right after completing the first mission in Rage 2, players are given the Phoenix vehicle to use in the open world, post-apocalyptic wasteland. While they're out exploring, Rage 2 players will come across other vehicles with their own unique gadgets, and as it turns out, these vehicles can be collected and stored for use later.
In this Rage 2 guide, we will explain how to store vehicles, as well as how to repair vehicles in the game.
How to Store Vehicles
To store vehicles in Rage 2, players first need to purchase the Vehicles Extension upgrade in the Projects menu. This will require at least three Project Points to unlock, as players have to purchase two previous projects to purchase it. However, we had more than enough Project Points by just completing the first couple of missions in the game to buy the Vehicles Extension upgrade.
The Vehicles Extension upgrade can be found under Basic Projects. Once it's purchased, the next thing to do is to find a vehicle to store. Steal a vehicle from the enemies found in Rage 2's open world wasteland, and then drive it to one of the three main hub cities in the game, like Gunbarrel or Wellspring. Approach the front gate and park the stolen vehicle near the Phoenix. If done properly, this should bring up a prompt that gives players the option to store the stolen vehicle for use later.
After Rage 2 players store a vehicle, they can summon it to them at any time by going to the Vehicles tab in the menu.
How to Repair Vehicles
Repairing vehicles in Rage 2 is fairly straightforward, though fans of the first Rage may be a bit confused as to how it's done since it's different this time around. In the first Rage, players had to take their vehicle to a garage for repairs, but in Rage 2, they simply have to approach it and hold in the left bumper.
Repairing and storing vehicles should work for every vehicle currently in Rage 2, though it's possible more vehicles will be added in the future. Bethesda has a lot of Rage 2 updates planned, and it's quite possible those plans will include brand new vehicles to help players explore the wasteland.
Rage 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
