Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction is the latest entry in the Rainbow Six video game lineup. The recently released Rainbow Six Extraction was published by Ubisoft as a spin-off of Rainbow Six Siege, which was released back in 2015.

Rainbow Six Extraction dropped last week on January 20, giving players a PvE take on Siege's mechanics. It is a tactical shooter, like Rainbow Six Siege, but with an emphasis on cooperative multiplayer, as players work together to face off against a parasitic alien species called the Archaeans. With this focus on cooperative multiplayer, the game will soon be adding a new feature called the Buddy Pass.

A post yesterday from the official Rainbow Six Extraction Twitter account provides an update for the Buddy Pass. The post comes with an image stating that the Buddy Pass will be available to players later this week on Thursday, January 27, at 3 PM. By then, owners of Rainbow Six Extraction will be able to use the Buddy Pass to enjoy the multiplayer with their friends online.

The Buddy Pass is a feature that will allow owners of the game to invite up to two friends to play the game as part of their squad for fourteen days, regardless of whether they have the game. It will let them play together on any platform the game is available on since Rainbow Six Extraction has cross-play support. Also, each full copy of the game comes with 2 Buddy Pass tokens players can use to invite their friends.

However, once the fourteen days are up, the Buddy Pass invitation will expire and the invited players will not be able to join a new game session. To continue playing the game, the invited players will either need to receive a new Buddy Pass token or get the full game. The invited players' progress in Rainbow Six Extraction will be saved and will carry over to any future game sessions or once they purchase the full version of the game.

Now that Rainbow Six Extraction is available, players can find it on various gaming platforms, including PC, the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Rainbow Six Extraction is available on Xbox Game Pass for free for subscribers on both console and PC. However, playing the game through subscription services like Xbox Game Pass or Ubisoft+ does not offer Buddy Pass tokens.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction is available now on Amazon Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
