Ranma 1/2 Remake Season 2 Details

Ranma 1/2 also released a new promotional video for the second season. The PV primarily focuses on Ranma, Genma, and Akane, which makes sense considering their importance to the story. The main voice cast will certainly reprise their roles for the second season, so viewers can expect to hear familiar voices.

Ranma 1/2 Is One Of The Most Popular Anime

Ranma 1/2 is based on the manga of the same name written by Rumiko Takahashi. The manga began serializing in Weekly Shonen Sunday in August 1987. The manga came to an end in March 1996 after releasing more than 400 chapters. Based on the most recent report available, Ranma 1/2 has sold over 55 million copies, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.

Given its popularity, it is hardly surprising that Ranma 1/2 has received three anime adaptations, the first of which began airing in April 1989. The anime was produced by Studio Deen but was canceled in September 1989 due to low ratings. To counter this problem, the anime's title was changed, and it was relaunched in a different time slot. This time, it was successful, and it ran for 143 episodes.

Ranma 1/2 also has three theatrical films to its name, and they were all produced by Studio Deen. The third anime adaptation of Ranma 1/2 was announced in June 2024. It was confirmed that MAPPA would produce the anime.
