In the Separate Ways DLC, similar to the Resident Evil 4 Remake, players can earn different ranks based on their performance throughout the game. By analyzing players' overall playtime and save status, the game assigns them one of the three primary ranks, ranging from A to S+.

However, players often wonder about the requirements for achieving these ranks, as well as the rewards they can expect. To provide clarity, this guide will explain how to obtain each rank tier in Separate Ways and detail the prizes associated with them.

Rank Requirements for All Difficulties

In the Separate Ways DLC, players' ranks are determined by their completion time. Upon beating the final chapter, players will be awarded an A, S, or S+ rank depending on their speed in completing the game. In certain difficulty settings, the number of typewriters used may also factor into the ranking evaluation. The following table shows all the rank requirements in the RE4 Remake’s expansion:

To achieve an S+ Rank in the Separate Ways DLC, players must complete the game in less than an hour and a half on a new save file rather than the New Game Plus mode.

When playing on the Professional difficulty, the time limit for getting an S+ Rank extends to under 2.5 hours. However, players must use typewriters no more than ten times in order to achieve it.

Professional mode is not available in the first playthrough; players will need to beat the game once to unlock this difficulty.
