There are three armor materials in Ready or Not:

The Kevlar armor should mainly be used in large maps, where players have plenty of cover to protect them.

Whilst steel armor may offer the most permanent solution to protection, the ceramic plates are arguably the best for multiple reasons. Ceramic armor will negate all damage until the ceramic plates break. This gives players a necessary form of protection, which will wither as the game goes on, and they come into more contact with enemies. Being able to move faster than steel plates, and have solid protection against bullets, is why ceramic is the best armor in Ready or Not.
