The MP7, a very small SMG in Ready or Not, is capable of being an angel of death in the right hands. There’s a good reason that the MP7 packs such a large capacity of ammo, and that’s because it’s not exactly the hardest-hitting. However, with its small design, it can allow players to move fast and make swift movements in the field as they search for hostiles, able to shred them fast thanks to the fire rate and high ammunition count.

A personal defense weapon with an unconventional appearance originally designed for fielding with rear-echelon troops during the Golf War.

The compact bullpup design of the P90 makes it a game-changer when it comes to close-quarter combat. Within these close-range engagements, the P90 acts as royalty and should be a gun to fear. This all comes from the fact that it has 50 rounds of ammunition, meaning players won’t need to reload for a fair few gunfights, and they can keep their enemies locked in and scared for longer, especially with appropriate bullets that can defeat body armor of all kinds in just over a fifth of the total ammo count of a magazine.

The UMP-45 is an odd case for an SMG, as it’s mainly a ‘lite’ version of an Assault Rifle due to its decent range and stopping power capabilities, all at the expense of its rate of fire. Whilst the UMP-45 is decent, it lacks the necessary ingredient for a true quality SMG, which involves a high fire rate to save players from dangerous situations at close-range battles as if they were John Wick.

A 9mm version in the UMP platform. Compared to it’s.45 counterpart, this variant has a higher magazine capacity, slightly higher fire rate and boasts a more moderate recoil.

There’s always an advantage to using an SMG that features a decent rate of fire, and the UMP-9 proves just that. Whilst other SMGs in Ready or Not might boast of a higher fire rate or even greater stopping power, there’s nothing wrong with being reliable, especially with a good magazine count to make sure players aren’t going to run out of bullets before their final shot upon the update 1.0 release.
