Every mission in Ready or Not is a life-and-death situation for everyone involved. Every door can lead to loss of life, whether it's on SWAT's side, the suspects, or innocent civilians. Perfect execution is mandatory to prevent this, and when every objective is accomplished, it's time to pack things up and go home.
Ready or Not: How to Fix Checksum Mismatch Error
As great as many of Ready or Not's mods might be, they can potentially cause Checksum Mismatch errors. Here's how to fix it.
However, not every mission goes smoothly, and sometimes, retreating is the best course of action. This may not have much value when playing co-op, but those in Ready or Not's singleplayer Commander mode need to know how to end a mission even when there are still things to be done.
How to End a Mission in Ready or Not
After completing all primary objectives in a mission, a vote prompt to end the mission will appear in the upper-left corner of the screen. Press Y to vote Yes, but only after making sure that all secondary objectives have been completed. If you're playing solo, the game will automatically send you to the score screen even if you don't press Y as long as you complete every objective, restrain every civilian and suspect, and bag every piece of evidence there is.
Collecting evidence, arresting NPCs, and finishing all secondary objectives will increase the squad's letter grade at the end of the mission. Scoring a B, A, or S rank on certain missions will unlock cosmetics like new armor vests, BDUs, watches, and tattoos. If your goal is to simply unlock new levels, then any grade will do as long as it is not an F.
Ready or Not Controversy Explained
Ready or Not has players assume control of a SWAT member, but the departure of Team17 and a potential school shooter level is causing controversy.
When playing Ready or Not solo in Commander mode, you can end the game early without completing all objectives by returning to your spawn point. This will cause an exfil prompt to appear, giving you the option to leave the map. This is important because quitting out of the game via the menu screen will increase the stress levels of your officers, potentially making them quit the force entirely. Upon reaching the spawn point, press and hold F to leave with all surviving squadmates.
Experienced officers have unique traits that make them more effective at certain things. Some might be better at getting NPCs to surrender, while others can break doors down with just one kick instead of several. There are also officer traits that give squad-wise boosts to health and accuracy as well as effects that reduce overall stress gain, increase the morale damage dealt to suspects, and more.
