One of the most useful tactical devices that players can bring into an intensive situation is the C2, an explosive charge that players can use to breach certain inaccessible areas. However, those unfamiliar with Ready or Not might find the C2 rather frustrating, especially when it doesn't place where it's supposed to, and other players might get caught in the blast, which causes quite a bit of annoyance to those who just want a smooth and fast operation for the S Rank. Luckily, this guide will talk players through how to use C2 in Ready or Not, and when best to use it.
Ready or Not: Thank You, Come Again S Rank Guide
Here's exactly how players can get the S Rank in Ready or Not's very first mission: Thank You, Come Again, by completing all objectives listed here.
How to Use C2 in Ready or Not
C2 is an explosive charge that allows players to blow open locked doors. The C2 will only work on some doors, and will only work on doors that are locked. This means that players will only find use for the C2 if the door they are trying to access is locked, and they do not wish to use their lockpick to open it. The C2 can be equipped with L1 or 4, and with the C2 in hand, approach the door closely and hold just above the door-knob, or with double doors, between the two. If the door is breachable, then a prompt will appear saying "Press R2/RT/LMB to Plant C2 Explosive." If this message does not appear, then it is not possible to breach the door. Players will then place the C2 on the wall, but they can also take the C2 off the door if they change their mind.
Once the C2 has been planted, it's best to back away and find cover, as the explosive can be pretty lethal. Before detonating the C2, back away from the door and find cover or a corner to hide behind, and ensure there are no civilians or arrested suspects in the vicinity, as the explosive will likely kill them, and whoever is behind the door. When ready, activate the tactical device wheel with L1 to pull out the Detonator, and then hit R2/RT/Left-Click to trigger the explosion. This will blow the door to smithereens, leaving nothing left, so make sure you're ready for the chaos that awaits inside the room that you've just blown the hinges off of.
