The tactical first-person shooter Ready or Not has rolled out Los Sueños Stories Patch 1, which includes several helpful fixes and improvements for players across all platforms. Despite a recent review bombing campaign, Ready or Not has seen strong player growth, with dedicated fans eagerly stepping into the shoes of a police SWAT team member as they must try to quell an uptick in crime in the fictional city of Los Sueños.

Initially launched in early access on Steam in 2021, Ready or Not recently made its way to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on July 15, giving a wider playerbase a chance to try out the title. Ahead of the game's console launch, controversy erupted as developer Void Interactive announced that it would be introducing some changes to Ready or Not's content in order to meet the requirements set by PlayStation and Xbox. Violence and nudity were toned down for the title's PS5 and Xbox release, prompting a review bombing campaign on Steam, as PC players expressed frustration that all versions of the game were being altered, rather than just the console versions.

New and returning players alike should follow Ready or Not's unwritten rules to manage the game's punishing tactical realism.

Void Interactive is continuing to roll out updates for Ready or Not, with the July 28 Los Sueños Stories Patch 1 preparing the title for a more significant bunch of fixes sometime next week. Earlier this month, the team released the Los Sueños story update, which added new missions and weapons and brought the PC version in line with the console versions. While small, the new update fixes some more significant issues, including one causing crashes during authentification. Additionally, the developer has implemented a temporary region selection menu when jumping into public matchmaking in an effort to help reduce high ping issues.

In response to the alterations made to the game, one savvy player released a Ready or Not mod to revert the recent censorship changes, which was released only 20 minutes after the update went live. Many fans are still hoping that Void Interactive will make the update optional for PC players in the future, though the studio has stated that it's necessary to keep both versions of Ready or Not consistent.

While not all news surrounding the FPS has been positive, Ready or Not sold an astounding 1 million copies on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in less than four days. The developers are hard at work on future patches aimed at improving the player experience and ironing out any remaining issues, and many fans are hoping that new DLC will be announced sometime soon.
