Ready or Not is designed to be played with an entire squad, whether it be composed of a solo player and a team of bots or a whole party of friends. The claustrophobic maps and smart AI in this game mean everybody needs to be watching each other's backs if they want to survive.

There's a limit to how many officers can be present in a single mission, but luckily, there's also a way to get rid of that limit so larger groups can kick doors and raid drug dens together. Here's how to make Ready or Not's max player count bigger.

Ready or Not Player Limit Increase

To get bigger lobbies in , players will have to rely on the magic of modding. The default Ready or Not player limit per match is five (both in solo and co-op play), but this can be cranked up all the way to 16 (or more) with the help of custom game files.

One of the most convenient mods for increasing the player limit is In Game Menu by TheRareKiwi. The primary goal of this mod is to give players an easier time accessing the mission selector while also providing access to a few mod and server-related settings. Players can get In Game Menu either via the in-game mod browser or by downloading and installing the files from Nexusmods.

To increase the player limit using In Game Menu, press the M key twice to display the mod's UI. Then, click on In-Game Menu under the Settings tab to display a list of options that include Player Limit and Player Count Max. Set both options to the desired number and close the mod window. More players should now be able to join the server, though this particular mod only allows up to 16 players per session.

The mod should work even if only the host has it installed. However, if you're having trouble getting more than five people in one lobby, then it may be better to have everyone install the mod as well. Additionally, try disabling the server-side checksum option in the Gameplay section of the Options menu, just in case the mod still fails to work properly.

Keep in mind that the game is designed for five players only, and having any more than that may drastically affect the curated experience. On the other hand, players can install additional mods that add larger maps or increase the total suspect count to balance out the extra SWAT officers in the team.
