16 Legendary Elk

The Legendary Elk is one of the easiest Legendary Animals to hunt in Red Dead Redemption 2 due to its distinct white coat. The shaggy mane and snowy coat of the Legendary Elk make it easily distinguishable from other creatures, but what makes this rare beauty such a hard catch in the first place is its skittish nature. The Legendary Elk will often run at the slightest sound, so it’s advised to take this magical beast out with a bow or a scoped rifle to avoid its retreat deeper into the woods.

15 Legendary Big Horn Ram

A Not-So-Visually Distinct Ram

• Location: South area of Grizzlies West, East of Valentine across the river

The Legendary Big Horn Ram doesn’t really have many distinct features from the other variants of the Ram, outside of its larger horns and its white coat. It’s not too difficult to find, and players can easily hunt it on horseback due to its skittish nature but lack of speed.

14 Legendary Buck

A Skittish Animal Noted by a White and Brown Fur Coat

• Location: North West of Strawberry in Big Valley, West Elizabeth

Bucks are usually extremely skittish, and the Legendary Buck continues that trend. This is an animal best hunted on foot due to how disturbed it is at the slightest sound, but it’s easy to distinguish thanks to its white and brown coat as it roams between the trees of West Elizabeth. A quick shot will drop this buck, but missing will start a chase that might be a tad annoying.

13 Legendary White Bison

A Giant Albino Bison That Roams the Frozen Lakes of Ambarino

• Location: Lake Isabelle, Ambarino

After leaving the freezing temperatures of Colter in Ambarino, most players won’t want to head back. However, putting on some winter clothing and retreading into the snow to the icy lake of Lake Isabelle will reward players with a giant Legendary White Bison, that’s impossible to miss in terms of sights and shooting since its great size makes it an easy target for guns. This beast has a hard time getting away due to the openness of the area, so it’s an easy kill once it’s spotted.

12 Legendary Moose

A Hulking White Moose That Roams Cougar-Infested Forests

• Location: Roanoke Ridge, North of Roanoke Valley

The Legendary Moose is truly beautiful to gaze upon for its giant size and majestic white coat. The graying hairs on the beast show its age and its rare status among the other wildlife of Roanoke Ridge. While the size of the Legendary Moose makes it harder to escape a bullet, it is still rather skittish, and players need to be aware that the woods that it has made its home is often filled with Murfree killers and cougars that might make the hunt a little harder.

11 Legendary Boar

A Dirty Boar That Frolics in the Bluewater Marsh

• Location: North area of Bluewater Marsh

Wild boars are often a nuisance, and the Legendary Boar that stomps through Bluewater Marsh isn’t really one player can see a distinction from other than its dirty light brown hair. The Legendary Boar has quite a thick coat, so it’s going to take a few hits, but try not to let it escape as hunting it on horseback is going to be troublesome with alligators and Night Folk skulking about.

10 Legendary Coyote

An All-Black Coyote That Wanders Dry and Barren Plains

• Location: West of Ringneck Creek in Scarlet Meadows

Scarlet Meadows has quite a few plains to explore, especially with its connection to the Heartlands in New Hanover. As such, the dry and rocky climate makes the Legendary Coyote an easy spot, as this dark gray coyote isn’t exactly a threat, and is noticeable enough that a quick bullet to the head or an arrow through the body will drop it quickly.

9 Legendary Fox

A White Fox That Hides in the Forests of Lemoyne

• Location: Mattock Pond, North of Rhodes

The Legendary Fox has a beautiful white coat that would make it rather camouflaged in the snowy fields of Ambarino, but luckily this Legendary Fox is located in Scarlet Meadows of Lemoyne, where it can be found roaming the forests near Mattock Pond. While it’s sleek and agile against the many trees of its location, it’s also a fairly weak animal that any Repeater can easily kill.

8 Legendary Pronghorn

A New Austin Mammal That Has Short White Hair

• Location: South East of Fort Mercer, Rio Bravo, New Austin

The Legendary Pronghorn is by no means a difficult animal to find, but accessing the hunting grounds for the Legendary Pronghorn will be a tad difficult since players must first reach the epilogue to safely hunt it without being shot by an invisible sniper in New Austin as Arthur. The fur of the Legendary Pronghorn isn’t too distinct, but the short and white hair will help players recognize it as they chase it down on horseback among the desert plains of New Austin.

7 Legendary Tatanka Bison

New Austin's Large Bison That Wanders the Dirt Plains of Hennigan's Stead

• Location: South of Stillwater Creek (between MacFarlane’s Ranch and Thieves Landing) in New Austin

Near Hennigan’s Stead in New Austin, players can find a rather dirty bison that has short black hair and a thick gray coat around its head. This Legendary Animal will often be grazing the grass, and it’s easy to spot due to its size and distinct area from other bison, but players won’t be able to safely hunt it into they are in the epilogue section of Red Dead Redemption 2 due to its location in New Austin.
