A Red Dead Redemption 2 player has recently created multiple mods that bring exclusive animals from Red Dead Online into the single player mode. Being one of the best games from Rockstar for modding, Red Dead Redemption 2 seemingly never seizes to impress players and modders. There are thousands of mods available for the game that cater to every player's taste, and some of them even turn it into a whole different game.
Red Dead Online is the online multiplayer counterpart of Red Dead Redemption 2, offering a wider range of activities, missions, characters, customizations, and animals. It's possible to hunt all the animals in RDO, except for horses. Hunting different animals often requires different guns and specific ammo, which only adds to the realism of the game. Different animals also provide the player with different types of supplies that can either be sold or used for food, crafting, and other purposes. However, the number and variety of animals in the online mode of the game is significantly higher when compared to the single-player mode, and this latest mod looks to correct that.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Player Discovers Hidden Tunnel
Red Dead Redemption 2 player discovers a secret tunnel beneath the town years after the game's release, adding intrigue to its richly crafted world.
PlayRedThenStayDead, a verified mod author at Nexus Mods, has released a total of eight mods for different animals in Red Dead Online: bucks, wild boars, foxes, bison, wolves, panthers, bears, and alligators. It's worth mentioning that some variants of these animals do exist in the single-player game, but the mods add all the variants that are only available in the online mode. All of these have working animations for skinning, colored pelts for different variants, and everything else available for animals in RDO.

It's worth nothing that, in addition to the mods available on the above author page, players will also need the Online Content Unlocker to utilize this mod. With that, it's as simple as following the instructions on each mod's page. It's mods like these that have helped both the single-player and online element remain relevant over the past few years, as Rockstar has shifted its attention away from Red Dead 2 to focus on GTA 6. It's because of the players that Red Dead Online is still relevant.
This series of mods is, of course, just a drop in the bucket of all the available mods for Red Dead 2. Whether it's something like a save file editor or a modern car for Arthur Morgan, modding can really bring the zaniest details out of even an otherwise super realistic game.
