Shortly after Red Dead Redemption 2's Black Friday sale began, a new all-time peak was initially set on November 25 with 73,138 concurrent players. The record was broken just a few days later with the aforementioned total of 77,655 Steam players, and Red Dead Redemption 2 reached a 24-hour peak of 69,822 players as well. The lifetime player count history for Red Dead Redemption 2 shows a steep increase in the overall player count since November 2022. Although the player count plateaued at around 45,000 players throughout most of 2023, the player count began to increase even further from September to November 2023.
