Like other action roguelikes, you will fight waves of enemies in Reignbreaker to clear stages and move on to the next level. After defeating a group of mechanical monsters, you will get to select Artefacts to buff various stats, including character HP, damage boost, movement speed, and more. However, Artefacts alone are not enough to help you beat the later stages in Reignbreaker.

How to Get Resolve and Keys in Reignbreaker

There are a few ways to earn Resolves and Keys in Reignbreaker. The easiest way to get Resolves is by clearing waves of enemies. After clearing all waves, a nearby vault will open, rewarding you with Resolves, Keys, and an option to pick from three Artefacts.

This will be your main source of Resolves and Keys, as you must defeat enemies to unlock the entrance to the next stage.

Apart from beating monsters, you can get Resolves by breaking tall statues and Keys by breaking loot crates. You can identify the statues by their golden shields. Breaking a statue will always reward you with 40-50 Resolves and a health-restoring item that heals you for 20 HP. As for loot crates, they always have golden chains and locks around them. Breaking them will grant you 3-10 Keys.

How to Spend Resolves in Reignbreaker

Resolves are needed to unlock Resolve Upgrades in Reignbreaker. To spend Resolves, go to the Resolve Engine at your base camp. Here, you can unlock new Resolve Upgrades or level up your existing ones. There are three categories of Upgrades available: Survival, Combat, and Utility.

The first tier of Upgrades costs between 100-350 Resolves. You can level up each Upgrade up to level 5 by spending more Resolves. With each level, the cost of upgrading increases. At first, you can only equip three Upgrades at once.

It is recommended to focus on upgrading essential Upgrades, such as Hot and Cold for increased HP or Dasher for an extra Dash.

As you progress, you can defeat the Sentinels, the boss enemies of Reignbreaker, to unlock extra Resolve Slots, up to a maximum of nine.

How to Spend Keys in Reignbreaker

In Reignbreaker, you can discover hidden Pop-Up Shops where you can spend Keys to unlock Artefacts. Open the map and look for the shop icon. Unlike Resolves, Keys cannot be carried over to your base camp. Upon dying, you will lose all the Keys collected during your run.

After clearing a few stages, you will enter a relaxation room where you can restore HP, unlock a new Javelin upgrade, and find a Pop-Up Shop. These shops usually offer healing and damage-boosting Artefacts. Additionally, you are guaranteed to encounter this room before a Sentinel boss fight. It is recommended that you save enough keys to purchase an HP-restoring Artefact before facing a Sentinel.
