If you're a diehard Nintendo fan, you probably picked up a Nintendo Switch 2 by now (if you were able to get one -apparently it wasn't too hard for people). Anyway, if you're also a diehard Splatoon fan (like me), then there's a good chance you installed Splatoon 3 on your shiny new system to see how much better it looks. However, Nintendo didn't give the multiplayer ink shooter any upgrades... Until now!

Nintendo announced, via the Nintendo Today app of all places (and then on X), that not only is Splatoon 3 getting a Switch 2 upgrade on June 12, but there's also a Splatoon spin-off game in development called Splatoon Raiders. The update will make Splatoon 3 run better and look better on the Switch 2, but that's not all. Nintendo is also throwing Urchin Underpass into the stage rotation, raising the cap on Freshness, and giving players a bunch of new weapons that fall under the Splatlands Collection --there's a lot to look forward to.

So, When Does Splatoon 3's Switch 2 Update (10.0.0) Come Out?

10.0.0 Release Time

For those wanting to know exactly when Splatoon 3's 10.0.0 update will go live, we have to rely on past information. Luckily, there has been a set time that Nintendo tends to update Splatoon 3, and that time is 1 AM UTC the day of the patch release (June 12), which translates to 6 PM PT (Los Angeles), 7 PM MT (Denver), 8 PM CT (Chicago), and 9 PM ET (NYC) the night before. This means that people playing Splatoon 3 in the States should be able to update their game on the night of Wednesday, June 11.
