Players have plenty of customization options in Rematch, and while there are hair and accessories to mess around with, the most exciting part is making kits. Players have tonnes of colors and patterns to choose from, and can mix and match these to make unique designs or recreate their favorite football kits based on real teams.

All Rematch Mechanics, Explained

Rematch brings a new experience for soccer fans to dive into. Here are all the mechanics explained to get the most out of them while playing.

With how the kit selection works, players can always play in their own colors if they wish, and on their screen, their teammates will be put in these colors too, although with their own patterns. When players are the squad leader when playing with friends, or they are the randomly assigned captain, their teammates will also have the option to select these colors for their own screen.

The Invert Colors option for shorts is essential for making many great kits, as otherwise the top and shorts will always be the same color. This is beneath the option for changing the pattern on shorts.

1 The Classic Brazil Kit

Evoke Skill In Iconic Yellow, Blue, & Green With White Socks

Rematch - Brazil Kit
  • Colors: Yellow, Blue, & Green
  • Top Pattern: None

Brazil, as a footballing nation, is known for their players' skills and ball control, making them the perfect fit for the arcade football of Rematch with rainbow flicks and mid-air dribbles. Their kit's colors are also highly iconic and will make players stand out.

While players can mess around with some alternative patterns, and the one unlocked with Ronaldinho's paid bundle is great, the simple No Pattern is the most accurate. The key is to invert the shorts' color to make them blue rather than yellow, and the white socks perfect the design. A tucked shirt and short shorts can also invoke Pele's era from the mid-50s to the 70s.

2 Blue Lock Kits

Blue Lock Academy & Bastard Munchen

  • Colors: Light Blue, Dark Blue & Dark Blue
  • Top Pattern: Prologue IV
  • Colors: Black, Dark Red, & Yellow
  • Top Pattern: Top Split

There have been many parallels drawn between Rematch and the anime Blue Lock, and players can check out this guide on recreating the main protagonist, Isagi in Rematch. It's also possible to recreate iconic kits from the anime, either for other characters or for custom players.

The first kit is for the Blue Lock Academy project with a light blue top and socks, accented by navy blue shorts and trim. This looks great, even for those not interested in the anime. The other option is for Bastard Munchen, a fictional German side that Isagi eventually plays for. The black shorts and socks look particularly intimidating, and the yellow highlights work great.

3 Barcelona's 24/25 Home Kit

Red & Blue Split Down The Middle

Rematch - Barcelona Kit
  • Colors: Red, Blue & Yellow
  • Top Pattern: Top Half

The dark red and blue of Barcelona are among the most iconic colors in football, and the team's history of fielding the most skillful players, such as Messi, Ronaldinho, and now Lamine Yamal, may give players a confidence boost in Rematch. To recreate Barca's 24/25 home kit, players will want to select the Top Half pattern for the split down the middle. The yellow trim also looks great.

Rematch - Best Formation
Rematch: Best Formations

Utilizing the best formations in Rematch will help teams maintain structure and be covered at both ends of the pitch.

Naturally, if players prefer the more traditional stripes of Barcelona, then they can choose that pattern instead. Other, more niche designs, such as the checkered kit of 2019/2020, however, are not available, although more patterns will be added down the line.

4 Pink & Black Similar To Inter Miami

One Of The Most Stylish Kits

Rematch - Inter Miami Pink Kit
  • Colors: Pink, Black, & Pink
  • Top Pattern: Prologue IV

Pink kits are becoming increasingly popular in football, and in Rematch, opposing kits seem to default to pink when there are color clashes. However, by taking inspiration from Inter Miami and combining pink with black, players can look a lot better. They can also opt for a lighter pink than the default.

While players might elect for a fully pink kit with black for the details, black shorts can instead break up the colors and look more stylish. An Inter Miami-inspired kit is naturally great for those looking to play as Messi and avoid tackles in Rematch.

5 Orange & White Netherlands Kit

Stand Out On The Pitch

Rematch - Orange Netherlands Kit
  • Colors: Orange, White, & White
  • Top Pattern: None

There aren't too many orange kits in football/soccer, and few players are using them in Rematch, meaning players have a chance to stand out. The Netherlands are the team best known for orange, and having enjoyed multiple eras, ranked among the best sides, a similar kit should invoke skill.

Players can choose to go all out on orange, or instead opt for either white or black shorts and trims, as both have been used throughout history. While there aren't any current free patterns that look too good with these colors, the patterns available with the Ronaldinho and Puma bundles could both look good, although they wouldn't match the 1988 kit worn by the Dutch side.

6 White With Navy Blue & Gold Swirls

A Great Combination Of Colors

Rematch - White, Blue & Gold Kit
  • Colors: White, Navy Blue, & Gold
  • Top Pattern: Prologue III

Not all of the best kits in Rematch have to be based on iconic teams, and this white kit with navy blue and gold swirls is a great example of colors that work great together.

Rematch - Beginner Tips
Rematch: 10 Beginner Tips

These beginner tips & tricks for Rematch will help players get more involved in the game, score more goals, and ultimately win more matches.

As teammates will have their own patterns, having a base of white with two complementary colors will mean the whole team looks great, and players may find new patterns they prefer. It's hard to go wrong with a white top and navy blue shorts, and the gold and patterns help to bring the kit alive, almost giving it a retro vibe. The side-tucked shirt also works great with this design.

7 Golden Yellow With Black Streaks

Partially Inspired By Borussia Dortmund

Rematch - Borussia Dortmund Gold & Black Kit
  • Colors: Gold, Black, Black
  • Top Pattern: Prologue III

Gold and black always look great together in any combination, and Borussia Dortmund is famous for these colors. The team has also had many creative kit designs over the years, and fans can follow in their footsteps and try out any current or future shirt patterns in Rematch. Prologue III is a good choice, but the Blazon design from the Pro/Elite editions of Rematch looks particularly interesting from behind.

Having teammates in yellow or gold can also be great for spotting them across the pitch for long passes.
