Updated April 9, 2025, by Lucas Simons: Thanks to its latest DLC: The Dark Horizon, Remnant 2 has become quite good in terms of freedom of choice for players seeking to customize their builds to the very limit of what is broken/safe to use. Some of these overpowered builds offer a comfortable ride through the many scenarios of this Third Person Shooter with Soulslike features. Even in the highest levels of difficulty (Veteran and Nightmare), players will feel at ease while commanding the very forces of nature with the Pyromaniac build and rising from the grave time and time again with the Regenerator build.
8 Pyromaniac
Not Even The Thoughest Enemies Can Survive This Build

The Pyromancer build relies heavily on the Fire Storm Mod, which is one of the most powerful of Remnant 2. This mod launches a skill that creates a swirling fire twister that gets bigger as time passes and causes extreme fire damage (and burning) to enemies who have the bad luck of falling into it. Add the Stone of Malevolence ring to the mix, and players will have nearly infinite Mod Energy returned as the Skill destroys creatures and bosses alike. Fire Stone ensures a slight reduction in self-inflicted damage (in case things turn hot for the players) and a +15% Fire Damage. Alumni Ring will add even more Elemental Damage to the mix. Now, for the Pendant, players should grab the Shaed Bloom Crystal, which will constantly switch between a 35% Boost to Elemental Damage and a 35 % Boost to Physical Damage. But, as things turn out, once the bonus Elemental Damage effect is active, players can use the Mod and then sit and watch as everything scorches.
For this build, players should pick Summoner, because its Dominator main perk increases Explosive, Mod, and Skill Damage by 35% and Skill and Mod Critical Chance by 5% (at max level), and Challenger, because it offers survivability with the Die Hard perk from Challenger. This perk ensures players don't die so easily (mostly due to self-inflicted damage, since this build covers a wide area with the Firestorm Mod and can become quite a problem for players that don't know how to handle fire. Pulse Rifle and Hellfire are the best weapons for this build, since they ensure a fast Mod Energy recharge rate for more Fire Storms.
7 Absolute Healer

Combining the Alchemist and Medic classes, and taking the best features out of them is a recipe for creating the Absolute Healer, a class that can basically keep everyone in the team alive whatever comes their way. Start by maxing out these Archetypes, then grab Vial: Elixir of Life and Healing Shield. Picking the Rune Pistol as a Secondary weapon will considerably increase Healing Output, so try to include it in this build.
For trinkets, pick the Shielded Heart Relic which will grant a Shield for 100% of Max Health. Then pick Custodian's Bastion and Security Half-Measure to boost the shield generation and survivability while also increasing max armor thanks to Custodian's Bastion's main perk, which increases Armor up to 100 according to the shield granted. For Amulet, pick Legacy Protocol, which lowers skill cooldown by 20% and increases skill duration by 15%. That will ensure near ever-lasting shields for players and their teams and more chances to revive them using the Elixir of Life. The combination between Hunter and Gunslinger has never been so powerful with the addition of certain items like the mighty Monorail Rifle, which can be obtained after beating Alepsis Taura in The Dark Horizon DLC. This powerful Long Gun is capable of shooting high damage accelerated particles, that do increased damage to weak points. This, paired with the Gunslinger and Hunter passives, gives this gun an extra edge, and additional stats like recharge speed, stability, and effective range. Plus, its built-in mod called Recoil Dampener stabilizes the weapon, increasing its Charge Speed by 25% and reducing its Recoil and Sway by 75%.
Since Monorail is a charge weapon, this mod also provides an extra 5% critical chance for every 1% or the charge meter filled upon firing. That, combined with all the passives from Gunslinger (Swift Shot, Quick Hands) and Hunter (especially the Deadeye Perk) will guarantee every shot players connect on a Weakspot is lethal. Complete this build with the new Timewave mutator, to create a safe bubble that stops time around players when they activate the Weapon mod. This will allow them to shoot to the bosses, even if they call for adds (as many bosses do). Or, if players are looking to maximize damage, they can equip the Slayer mutator, which increases damage after a reload, and since the Monorail's charge mechanic is considered a reload, that means a lot of extra hurt with every shot. Complete the build with the new Redeemer revolver for the ultimate Western Sharpshooter experience, players won't regret this choice.
5 High Tech Barrelsmith

The High Tech Barrelsmith build combines the powerful gadgets of the Engineer with the tremendous weapon damage and fire rate boosts of the Gunslinger, transforming a full barrage of your Vulcan Machine Gun Turret into a spray of lethal bullets that can chip down the health of any boss in a matter of seconds. Its primary perk is High Tech, which allows you to overload every Engineer skill, granting it infinite ammo, fire rate, and damage for a limited duration.
If players combine this with the Bulletstorm ability from the Gunslinger, they get a tremendously powerful burst of bullets capable of destroying anything and anyone. To optimize this build, pick Amulets and Rings that provide Weakspot Damage, Fire Rate, And Weapon Damage. The Tech 22 Handgun is especially powerful in breaking apart rank-and-file opponents, mostly those looking to swarm the players. The Ruthless Beastmaster build can be accomplished by merging the Summoner and Handler archetypes. Its main perk is Ruthless, which allows you to boost the damage your minions do by friendly firing them. Using the Reaver skill from the Summoner, and the Support Dog from the Handler, you can consistently make your Summons more powerful while the Dog will make sure it stays healthy, constantly healing them. 2 Shadow Professional

So, you want to be a ninja? Then the Shadow Professional build is for you: combine Invader and Gunslinger to create the perfect boogeyman. With the Invader's Worm Hole, you can warp around and distance yourself from the enemies, while you consistently take them down with long-range weapons. Then, the Sidewinder skill from the Gunslinger can help you instantly reload while switching weapons, granting you increased mobility.
Remnant 2: Where to Find Soul Sparks
In order to progress Remnant 2's main story, players may need to find a canister containing the last hope of an entire civilization.
Shoot, move away, and then shoot again. Tactical repositioning is definitely the main forte of this build but beware: it's easy to get cornered and lose sight of your escape route. To prevent this, equip accessories that grant extra mobility — and the Mark of the Destroyer to take advantage of the extra perfect dodge boost that the Invader main perk grants. The ultimate build for those who love to blast their enemies with powerful abilities. The Tempest Luminary is a combination of the Archon archetype with the Engineer. Both are heavily focused on cooldown reduction and skill power, but the Archon class is especially good with its mod power generation traits and its main perk called Tempest, which constantly generates Mod energy. For your main ability, you should pick Havoc Form, which turns you into a rampaging lightning beast, able to cast lightning bolts and teleport short distances.
To pair with that, you'll want to pick the Vulcan Turret to cover your back while you rampage through the waves of enemies. For consistent damage, pick Nebula or Monarch as your main weapon. You can choose any secondary as long as you equip the Firestorm mod, which pairs beautifully with this build. The Spirit Wisp Amulet will be a consistent source of mod energy recirculation; to boost your abilities and mod skills, pick the following rings: Black Pawn Stamp, Stone of Malevolence, Sapphire Dreamstone, and Burden of the Rebel. Top this off with the Timewave Mod equipped in a Pulse rifle and add a Time Stopping Buble to the build, for even more crowd control and survivability.
