Remnant 2 is a challenging and difficult game, especially for those who are new to action-packed shooting RPGs. Even on the easiest difficulty setting – Survivor mode – the game is unforgivable. Players need to be armed and ready for combat at all times.
Considering the number of worlds in the game, each with its own hidden areas and secrets, and bosses to defeat, it’s important for players to save their progress. In fact, the procedurally generated nature of the game makes it even more frustrating because players can lose rare and valuable items. That said, this guide can help players learn how they can easily save their game in Remnant 2.
How to Save Game Progress in Remnant 2
Unfortunately, there is no way for players to manually save the game at any time they want. Instead, Remnant 2 automatically saves the nameless traveler’s progress at specific intervals. This is a convenient feature for players, since they don’t have to worry about manually saving progress in such a fast-paced RPG.
The game automatically saves progress when players perform certain actions, such as discovering a new area, unlocking a new weapon, or interacting with a checkpoint.
Players can trigger the auto-save feature themselves by resting at any checkpoint they find. Checkpoints are in the form of glowing red crystals and can be found scattered throughout the different worlds of Remnant 2. Interacting with a checkpoint restores the player's health and replenishes their Ammo and Relics. However, doing so will respawn all the basic enemies in that zone.
Players should make it a habit to interact with all checkpoints because, in case they die unexpectedly, they will respawn at the checkpoint they last interacted with.
