The Monster Update in REPO has completely changed the way players explore, survive, and interact with the game’s creepy world. While most fans were excited about the terrifying lineup of new monsters and the expanded maps, the real game-changers are the two new player upgrades introduced at the Service Station. Read on to learn more about the new upgrades added in REPO’s Monster Update.
REPO Reveals 'Game Breaking' New Feature
REPO reveals a feature that will be added in a future update, and shares the first details of how this addition could impact the game.
All New Upgrades Added in REPO Monster Update
The upgrades added in the Monster Update are Tumble Grab, Tumble Climb and Death Head Battery. They can be purchased at the Service Station, and completely change how you move around or help your team.
Tumble Grab
The Tumble Grab upgrade costs around 5,000 credits. It enhances one of REPO’s most entertaining movement mechanics: the Tumble Launch. Normally, when you tumble, you just roll and bounce uncontrollably across the floor or walls, usually ending up somewhere you didn’t intend to be.
With Tumble Grab, you can grab objects or weapons mid-tumble, giving you more control over your movement. It’s a small upgrade, but it adds a surprising amount of depth to the game. Players who love experimenting with movement will definitely want to pick this one up.
Tumble Climb
The Tumble Climb upgrade is one of the most exciting additions in REPO. Once unlocked, it gives you the ability to climb while in tumble form. This gives you even more control over your compact, rolling body.
With Tumble Climb, you can now crawl up walls, cling to ceilings, and chain multiple wall-grabs together to move freely around a room.
Your stamina plays a big role in how long you can keep climbing. The higher your stamina, the longer you’ll be able to hang on, maneuver, and reach higher spots without falling.
Death Head Battery
The Death Head Battery upgrade in REPO completely redefines what happens when you die. When a player dies in the game, they become a Death Head, a floating head that previously couldn’t do much except spectate.
With this upgrade, your death becomes far from the end. The Death Head Battery recharges while you’re dead, storing energy that can be used to possess your own head. Once charged, you can temporarily control and move your Death Head. This is cool because you can float around the map, interact with objects, or even distract monsters.
The Death Head Possession is a great way to stay involved with your team, even after you’ve been taken out. The only catch is that the possession time is limited, so if you want longer control, you’ll need to buy more battery upgrades.
