How to Deal With Birthday Boy in REPO

REPO’s Monster Update has introduced a total of ten new enemies, along with two powerful upgrades and new loot. One of the monsters in the new update is the Birthday Boy. You’ll usually spot the Birthday Boy wandering around the map, placing colorful balloons in random spots.

Under normal conditions, the Birthday Boy is completely harmless. You can walk right past him, or even grab him without fear of retaliation. He’ll only become dangerous if one of his balloons is popped. If you accidentally brush against a balloon, throw an item at it, or hit it with a weapon, the Birthday Boy instantly becomes enraged and will hunt you down relentlessly. How to Deal With Birthday Boy in REPO

If you pop one of the Birthday Boy’s balloons, he’ll search the area, his reaction is immediate and vicious. Even if you’re on the opposite side of the map in REPO, he’ll know where you are and start sprinting toward you.

Once triggered, he will slap the player repeatedly, dealing 10 damage per slap. Even crouching or hiding won’t save you because the Birthday Boy can crawl under hiding spots and still deal damage. He has 150 health, and killing him causes all of his balloons to disappear.

The simplest way to deal with the Birthday Boy is to avoid popping his balloons altogether. Move carefully around them, don’t run into rooms too quickly, and watch where you swing your items or weapons. His balloons can even block pathways, forcing you to decide whether it’s worth the risk to pop one.

In cases where a balloon does accidentally pop, and he begins to chase, your best option is to break his line of sight and try to keep running until he stops chasing you. Additionally, you can try to kill him quickly. His attacks hurt but are manageable, and taking him down will remove all the balloons from the map.

If the Birthday Boy despawns and you later pop one of his balloons, he will instantly respawn in aggressive mode, catching many players off guard.

In higher-level areas, you can even come across groups of up to three Birthday Boys. In these cases, avoiding them becomes even more important, since one wrong move can trigger multiple chases at once.
