REPO Celebrates the Monster Update with Free Weekend Offer

In a witty post on Twitter, developer Semiwork announced that REPO will remain free to play until November 3, giving co-op horror fans a full weekend to try it out. The offer actually celebrates the launch of REPO's second major update, Monster, which dropped on October 30, adding a plethora of new content to the game, including new rooms, enemies, and upgrades. The best part is that the free access appears to be unrestricted, allowing Steam users who don't own the game to experience all content from REPO's previous updates, as well as the new Monster patch.

With 96% of players recommending it on Steam, REPO has proven itself as one of Steam's best horror games, making it an easy choice for players to add to their libraries. For those still unsure, a 35% discount reduces the price from $10 to around $6 USD, lowering the risk and making it even easier to decide. This offer lasts until November 13, giving players who try the game for free plenty of time to make up their minds.

For those looking to check out the game, REPO's gameplay revolves around extraction missions, where teams of up to six players enter terrifying locations to retrieve valuable items. A similar game to REPO is Lethal Company, which combines horror and comedy with a focus on exploration in procedurally generated areas and teamwork. In other words, players who enjoyed Lethal Company are likely to enjoy REPO as well. Those seeking a closer experience to traditional horror might also want to try Phasmophobia, as it forgoes comedic elements for a more serious co-op horror approach.

It's also worth noting that REPO isn't the only game with a free weekend on Steam right now. Cities: Skylines 2 and Crusader Kings 3 are also free to play, with Cities: Skylines 2 available until November 10 and Crusader Kings 3's promotion ending sooner, on November 3.
