REPO has revealed some new content that's now available to try out in the beta branch of the game. While the REPO team has apologized for taking so long with updates to the main version of the game, the addition of these beta assets will allow players to help the team to test and determine if the new weapon, upgrades, and items are ready to get an official launch.
REPO took the internet by storm when it released, with a number of players comparing the title to Lethal Company, which also tasks co-op players with retrieving loot and surviving the dangers around them. While the two do have some similarities, the Semiwork game is unique enough that REPO has even inspired Lethal Company's developer to make a new update.
R.E.P.O.: All Maps & the Monsters that Spawn There
REPO has some truly terrifying monsters, complemented further by the maps that they will lurk in, so which is the hardest to survive in?
With regards to REPO, Semiwork has released a new video apologizing for the long wait for a content update, and revealed what the team has now added to the beta branch of the game. To start, the team has made a fix, removing the stuttering when holding items in REPO with a high strength stat. REPO has also offered discounts for energy crystals and health packs, so that players in smaller groups can afford to buy necessary items. This follows REPO patching out the health glitch that allowed players to heal themselves by spamming the action key while the game loaded.
REPO Gets New Items and Upgrades
Additionally, REPO is adding a new weapon called the Photon Blaster, aka the handheld portable cart laser. This weapon is essentially the REPO cart laser, but turned into a portable weapon. If the specs are identical to the cart laser, players can expect to deal 50-65 damage per successful hit with the laser beam it emits. While that's the only weapon being added right now, REPO has also introduced a Phase Bridge, which is essentially an energy bridge that can be used to get across gaps on the map, or even as a ladder. The game has also introduced an Upgrade called Tumble Wings. Unlike standard tumble, Tumble Wings gives players a literal set of wings that allow them to glide through the air and land safely.
Players now also have a new way to recover stamina quickly. By crouching, one's stamina meter will begin to recover, allowing players to quickly dash away again after having expended all their energy. This will also come with an Upgrade in the REPO shop that will make stamina recharge faster.
REPO fans who are interested in this update can check it out by accessing the beta branch of the game. All one needs to do is right-click on the game in Steam, click on Properties, then the Beta tab, and to select the beta branch from the dropdown. Since the game's latest additions are in beta, players may want to expect a few glitches and bugs, but any issues found will likely be ironed out before they're added to the main game.
