Whether it’s a skull-crushing magnum or an extraordinarily powerful SMG, Resident Evil 4 has always surprised gamers with bonus weapons that only show up after beating the campaign.
Fortunately, the 2023 remake has followed the footsteps of the original game, introducing a batch of abnormally fun-to-use weapons that unlock after fulfilling specific requirements. Players can now get an indestructible battle knife, an infinite-ammo SMG, and a boss-demolishing magnum as a reward for beating challenges. The following is a complete list of all these unique weapons with extra tips on how to get them quickly.
List of All Bonus Weapons in RE4 Remake
The Infinite Rocket Launcher aside, the Resident Evil 4 remake has three bonus weapons: The Handcannon, Chicago Sweeper, and Primal Knife. The player can buy these secret guns from the Extra Content Shop after completing specific challenges.
The Primal Knife
Also known as the indestructible knife, the Primal Knife is a battle blade forged with infinite possibilities. It is the second most powerful melee weapon in the RE4 remake and the only knife that can become unbreakable.
To get the Primal Knife, the player will need to destroy 16 clockwork castellans, one per chapter. These castellans are hidden in various map regions and are part of the Revolution Wind-Up challenge that rewards the player with the Primal Knife.

The Chicago Sweeper
In the remake of Resident Evil 4, the Chicago Sweeper is a Thompson Submachine Gun with the highest power and capacity among all SMGs. (It was known as the Tommy Gun in the original game.)
To get the Chicago Sweeper, the player will need to beat the game on Professional difficulty with an A rank. This will complete the Leon A. Kennedy Challenge and unlock the Sweeper in the Extra Content Shop.
Getting an A rank requires beating the game in 7 hours or less.

The Handcannon
As the most powerful magnum in the entire game, the Handcannon is the only handgun with an infinite ammo perk. What makes this gun unique is its extra-large X-Frame and muzzle that deliver the highest firepower among all magnums.
To get the Handcannon, the player will need to either beat a New Game on Professional mode using no bonus weapons or get an S rank in all three maps of the Mercenaries mode.

The Infinite Rocket Launcher
Although technically not a bonus weapon, the Infinite Rocket Launcher is an RPG that never runs out of rockets. It is the strongest among all RE4 weapons, allowing the player to one-shot all bosses and enemies.
To get the unlimited-ammo rocket launcher, the player must beat the campaign once and buy it from the Merchant in an NG+ for 2,000,000 Pesetas.
How to Equip Bonus Weapons
Completing challenges unlocks bonus weapons in the Extra Content Shop. But buying them only adds these weapons to the storage. To be able to equip them in the game, the player will need to interact with a typewriter and move the bonus gun from the storage to their inventory.
