Resident Evil 4 remake follows Agent Leon S. Kennedy on his quest to find and rescue the president's daughter, Ashley Graham, from the clutches of a murderous cult. Upon arriving at his destination, he and his escorts become separated, leaving Leon to continue his search for Ashley on his own.
Before Leon can find Ashley, however, he must first acquire the means necessary to explore The Lake, one of the largest areas in Resident Evil 4 remake. To do this, he must secure fuel for the boat, as its previous sailors failed to fill it up after coming ashore. The Boat Fuel can be pretty difficult to find, both because of its location and the enemies standing in its way.
How to Find the Fish Farm in Resident Evil 4 Remake
In Chapter 3 of Resident Evil 4 remake, Leon will need to sail across The Lake in order to find the key needed to unlock the door to the Church. Before he can set sail, however, he will need to refuel the boat he plans to use, as the areas in which the keys are kept cannot be reached on foot.
In order to locate the Boat Fuel, Leon must travel to the Fish Farm just west of the dock by climbing up the ladder to the south. Before continuing the search, the player should backtrack to save the game at the Typewriter in the previous room, as the upcoming area is crawling with dangerous enemies.
If possible, the player should also make use of the Merchant in the area just before the dock to purchase some weapon upgrades if they can afford any. Repairing the Combat Knife can also be a great help, as it is possible to defeat most of the enemies roaming the Fish Farm with stealth.
Proceeding west, Leon will find a note alluding to the location of the Boat Fuel on the wall just right of the cave entrance. Continuing on, he will eventually reach an opening overlooking the Fish Farm. Walking across the wooden walkway leading further in will cause the structure to break, stranding Leon in the shallow water below.
Boat Fuel Location in Resident Evil 4 Remake
While staying crouched, Leon can sneak up on the enemies littered along the path to the Boat Fuel and kill them with stealth attacks. If possible, the player should try their best to remain unseen until they can stealthily take out the Brute, one of the most dangerous enemies in Resident Evil 4 remake.
The Boat Fuel is located in the far west building at the very edge of the Fish Farm. From the shallow water Leon landed in, he should proceed northwest to the stairs and then travel directly southwest. He will then need to proceed down the stairs ahead into the water and proceed northwest once more. Climbing up the ramp ahead, Leon should continue along the wooden structure, disarm the beeping trap, walk forward a few more steps, and jump into the water on his left.
From here, walking directly west will lead to the building containing the Boat Fuel. To get inside, Leon must kick the door or shoot the lock. Once inside, the Boat Fuel can be found on the table to the table in the room's left corner. With the Boat Fuel acquired, Leon can return to the boat located at the dock to travel out into The Lake.
