Shortly after defeating Eveline, players will end up in the final area of Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose. From there it isn't much longer until players find themselves face to face against a familiar adversary that serves as the primary antagonist of this story DLC. After a couple of cutscenes, players immediately begin the final boss fight against Miranda.

While it is the same boss that players fought in the main story of Resident Evil Village, Miranda has gotten some powerful new abilities and proves to be a formidable opponent for Rose. Here is how players can beat Miranda and complete Shadows of Rose.

How to Use Rose's Powers

The first thing that Resident Evil Village players will notice when the fight starts is that Rose's powers have significantly expanded. Throughout the earlier parts of Shadows of Rose, players could only destroy cores and stun enemies. At the very end, players can finally use the full extent of Rose's powers.

The first thing that players will notice is that they can use short range teleportation to dodge Miranda's attacks. The second of the new powers summons a large white root that lunges forward and consumes three spots on Rose's Power Gauge. The third allows players to absorb incoming projectiles if they time it correctly.

How to Beat Miranda - Phase 1

While Miranda may look the same as she did at the end of the main story of Resident Evil Village, players cannot defeat her by simply shooting her. While Miranda is in the air, she can easily dodge when players shoot at her. Even if players are able to land a shot, it does little to no damage. The only way to actual damage to Miranda is to hit her when she is stunned and on the ground.

That is where Rose's powers come in. As mentioned above, players have the ability to summon a large white root. If players time it right, the root will lunge forward and strike Miranda. When she gets hit, Miranda falls to the ground and stops moving. She doesn't stay on the ground for long, so players will need to move in quickly and shoot her as much as possible.

It is recommended to use the Shotgun, as it does a lot of damage. Once Miranda recovers from being stunned, she will fly up back into the air. Before using the large white root to strike Miranda, players will need to recharge Rose's Power Gauge. Players can either use White Sage from their inventory or absorb Miranda's projectile attack to get a small boost to Rose's Power Gauge.

After doing enough damage to Miranda, she will unleash a massive series of projectile attacks at players. These projectiles cannot be blocked, absorbed, or dodged. Shortly after the attack, a cutscene will play and Rose will get a power boost from her Father. When prompted, Resident Evil Village players will be able to knock Miranda out of the air.

After that, players simply have to approach Miranda and use Rose's powers on her like they would with the cores encountered along the way. Upon doing this, Miranda crumbles into dust and players have successfully beaten Shadows of Rose.

Resident Evil Village is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
