S-Rank Creatures in Stellaris Prime
Alpha Raccoon
- Location: Northwest of Slarragon Forest
- Weak Spot: Can be caught without stunning
Alpha Raccoon is likely the easiest S-rank creature to catch. You'll find several near the Teleporter in the Slarragon Forest on Stellaris Prime. However, be aware that trying to capture one will cause nearby Raccoons to turn hostile. It's best to eliminate the surrounding aliens first before attempting to lasso the Alpha.
Hagnork
- Location: Top of the Cliffs of Abaddoon
- Weak Spot: Hard palate (inside its mouth)
You'll need to catch a Hagnork to complete one of the early missions in Revenge of the Savage Planet. If you want extras for your personal zoo, there's one that always respawns in the Cliffs of Abaddoon—the same spot where you first encounter it during the campaign.
To catch a Hagnork, wait for it to roar, as its weak spot is its hard palate. When it opens its mouth, shoot the upper part of its mouth roof to stun it.
S-Rank Creatures in Xephyr
Alpha Vaperon
- Location: G'nortt's High Rise
- Weak Spot: Knee
An Alpha Vaperon spawns just across the Teleporter in G'nortt's High Rise area of Xephyr. To capture it, shoot its right knee three times to stun it before moving in with your lasso.
S-Rank Creatures in Zenethian Rift
Alpha Toxwin
- Location: Peaks, Summit of Ruin
- Weak Spot: The umbilicus (belly button)
An Alpha Toxwin spawns in the cave at the Summit of Ruin in the Peaks region of Zenethian Rift. To stun and capture it, shoot its belly button a few times. Since Toxwins are usually friendly at first, you'll have a brief window to land a couple of shots before they turn aggressive.
The best time to hit an Alpha Toxwin's weak spot is when it prepares to spit goop. During this moment, it exposes its belly, making the belly button much easier to target.
Armored Crusher
- Location: Depths, The Depths of Trrn
- Weak Spot: Tail
The crab-like creatures in the Zenethian Rift are tough to catch, as their weak spot is on their back. To stun an Armored Crusher, you'll need to shoot its tail.
Taking the high ground can help you land clean shots whenever the Armored Crusher turns around. Alternatively, try jumping and shooting (bunny hopping) to hit the tail while airborne.
One of the upgrades in Revenge of the Savage Planet grants you a stomping ability. You can use this to crush an Armored Crusher's hard shell, making it easier to capture or defeat.
S-Rank Creatures in Quasadron IX
Alpha Sluggator
- Location: Savannah Lake
- Weak Spot: Forehead
There's an underground area near the Teleporter in Savannah Lake. You'll need to stomp the entrance to unlock it, but once opened, you can always find an Alpha Sluggator inside.
To catch an Alpha Sluggator, shoot its forehead. The tricky part is avoiding its tongue, as it will try to grab and pull you in. Be sure to dodge its attempts and avoid shooting while being pulled. Sluggators are fragile, and a few self-defense shots could accidentally kill the rare Alpha.
Lurid Striped Puffer
- Location: Savannah Lake
- Weak Spot: Doesn't have one
Just across from the underground area in Savannah Lake where the Alpha Sluggator spawns, you'll find a pack of Lurid Stirped Puffers roaming around. To catch one, simply eliminate the rest of the pack and leave one alive. Once it's alone, you can lasso it without needing to stun it.
Quick Tips for Catching S-Rank Creatures
Here are some helpful tips for Revenge of the Savage Planet players hunting down all the rare aliens:
- Enable Snap Targeting: This setting lets your weapon automatically lock onto a creature's weak spot. Just get your crosshair close, and the gun will do the rest.
- Scan to reveal weak spots: Press the Scan button (Z on keyboard) during combat to highlight a creature's weak spot. Make sure you've already scanned it with the scanner (TAB on keyboard) beforehand.
- Take the high ground: Most creatures in Revenge of the Savage Planet can't jump, so climbing nearby cliffs or rocks gives you a safe vantage point. From there, you can take clear shots at their weak spots while avoiding attacks.
- Be patient: You don't need to fire rapidly. Focus on timing your shots and aim carefully to land clean hits on their weak spots.
