Revenge of the Savage Planet gradually provides access to various tools and equipment to players as they unlock more planets. These tools are essential for players who want to completely explore a planet without obstructions. Amber is a yellow-gooey but hard substance that players can spot covering various areas on a planet. Damage from normal guns or explosive tools does not damage it, so players will need to find Blight Bombs to melt them down.
Revenge Of The Savage Planet: How To Get Default Air Filter Upgrade
Players must upgrade their suit's air filter to breathe in toxic fumes in some areas of Revenge of the Savage Planet, here's how to get it.
Where to Find Blight Bombs in Revenge of the Savage Planet
Players will find crystallized amber deposits throughout all the planets in Revenge of the Savage Planet that only Blight Bombs can destroy. Unlike the explosive Bombegranates, the Blight Bombs have an acidic effect that can melt away amber and eliminate most enemies in one hit. You can find Blight Bombs on almost all the planets, but they're more commonly available in Quasadron IX.
Picking up a Blight Bomb will initiate a 6-second timer, after which the bomb will deactivate, without damaging the player. However, throwing the bomb at crystallized amber will cause it to melt down. Doing so can reveal interactable areas in the environment, like grapple points, hidden pathways, and blocked resources. It's also essential in repairing The Rusty Javelin.
How to Unlock the Blight Bomb Stabilizer Upgrade
Although Blight Bombs are the only way to break amber in Revenge of the Savage Planet, the six-second timer limits players from using them only on deposits nearby. The only way to fix the timer issue is to unlock the Blight Bomb Stabilizer suit upgrade, which will allow you to carry blight bombs in your inventory and use them when necessary.
You can unlock this upgrade after arriving at the Quasadron IX planet and completing the quest, "The Lower PH The Better." Players can start this quest after arriving at the map marker shown above, and they'll need to capture the Alpha Sluggator.
Simply break the weak ground in the middle of the area, and you'll find the rare creature below. It's recommended to take out other Sluggators first to make the capture easier. Once they're taken care of, carefully aim and shoot at the Alpha Sluggator's weak point on the head to incapacitate it. After that, simply use your whip to capture the creature and send it back to the habitat on Stellaris Prime.
Now, all you need to do is enter your base and start the research on the Alpha Sluggator. Once the research is completed, you'll be able to unlock the Blight Bomb Stabilizer upgrade in Revenge of the Savage Planet, which costs 425 Aluminum, 550 Carbon, and 375 Silicon.
