It's great that the next episode of Rick and Morty will feature the memorable character of Space Beth as she's one reason why the series is so compelling. After Rick clones his daughter Beth Smith (Sarah Chalke), Space Beth is introduced in the season 4 finale, "Star Mort Rickturn of the Jed." Since there are two versions of Beth, fans often debate which one is real, and viewers may never know who the actual Beth is. This has become a celebrated part of the series, and it's definitely a smart move. Rather than a big, corny reveal about the real Beth, the show is keeping things vague, and it works well. Beth is a great character since, through her, Rick and Morty explores the meaning of family. Also, since there are so many great movies about clones, this is always a welcome sci-fi storyline.

Like the recurring character Pickle Rick, fans are used to seeing different versions of the same character, and while Space Beth might seem strange on another series, she is right into this wild, chaotic, and quirky world. One of her best appearances was in Rick and Morty season 7, episode 6, "Rickfending Your Mort," when she is frustrated by The Observer's playing clips of moments she would rather people didn't see. Whether Clone Beth or Space Beth, this character often feels humiliated by her dad, and her reactions make for some hilarious scenes.

"I love it!. To tweak the character and play a different version was so much fun to do because there are subtle differences between the two of them.”

“I didn’t know as we went along — and still don’t — who’s the clone and who’s not. I love that they decided to leave it on a note where both Beths don’t really care which one is the clone.”

Fans don't mind not knowing who the real and the fake Beths are, and this character arc definitely keeps things interesting.
