In Rise of the Ronin, players can collect items for trophies and rewards. Cats are a rather furry collectible spread throughout Japan's three regions.

Players who find all the cats can turn them in for rewards, including consumables, gear, and more. Cats are crafty and can remain hidden, so here's a guide to showing where to find all the cats in Rise of the Ronin.

Rise of the Ronin Cat Locations

There are 100 cats in total in Rise of the Ronin. There are three major regions in which players will travel:

  • Yokohama
  • Edo
  • Kyoto

Each region is unlocked at a certain point in the main story, and players can travel between areas and replay any missions they want to. So, they can return and look again if they leave an area before finding all the cats.

Players will know they are near a cat when they hear meowing. It will also appear as an icon on their map when they enter the general vicinity. See below for all cat locations by region:

How to Collect Calico Cats

Rise of the Ronin Calico Cats

Calico Cats are rarer than others and not as easily collected. Calico Cats will be asleep whenever found, and players must grab them without waking them up. The best way to do it is to crouch and sneak up on them.

Calico Cats will run away if they wake up, but players can try again at a different time.

Cat Collection Rewards

Players can use the cats they find to earn rewards by talking to a specific NPC. Usugumo Dayu works in the Pleasure Districts in Yokohama, Edo, and Kyoto. A cat symbol over her head will mark her, and payers can speak with her to see her wares. She sells elixirs, gear, and more for Silver Coins.

The more cats they find, the more items she will have available. Players will also increase their bond with Usugumo as they collect her cats.
