How to Get the Sacred White Horse Mount in Rise of the Ronin

The opportunity to saddle up onto this horse becomes available only in Chapter 3, where players will find themselves in the city of Kyoto as part of the ongoing story. Head northeast to the region of Shirakawa, and it is here players will find the now-familiar Horseback Archery activity.

For hitting the point threshold of 45,000 points and above for Master ranking, players will be able to ride the Sacred White Horse for the rest of the adventure. How to do so will require a good aim and understanding of the course, and here's what to expect:

Like other Horseback Archery courses, getting a high score means hitting as many targets as possible and getting to the finish line as quickly as you can.
The course is quite a straightforward run, but players will be armed with fire arrows designed to make red barrels explode.
For a start, you can avoid galloping just to get a feel of the course, but if you work better at higher speeds, feel free to burst out of the starting position.
The first two targets are to the right standing on poles; just wait for the horse to get closer and the reticle lined up to make the easy shots.
Now, turn your attention to the left, and aim for the red barrel on top of the platform to hit the grouped targets.
Ahead of it is another red barrel on some rocks. Destroy it to hit multiple targets at once.
Next up, look to the skies to see two aerial targets. The first is easy enough, but the second requires a more precise aim to destroy the explosive barrel.

Rise of the Ronin How to Get the Best Mount (Sacred White Horse) Course

Just ahead of it is a particular structure and several targets on the ground next to it. Simply cause the red barrels to explore, and a log will roll down to hit the other targets on the water.
After going under the bridge, there will be a combination of two targets on the ground followed by another pair of aerial targets to destroy. Slow down if you have to --just make sure to hit the mark.
Now, another red barrel awaits on top of an elevated platform. Fire away, and if you have time, aim for the next structure ahead on the left to save you some time. If not, do so after going under the platform.
After the structure, keep your focus on the left shoreline. Here, a line of targets will lead to a cluster of red barrels, so try to time your shot to go through the three targets to hit the barrels for a big finish. Otherwise, you can just use the explosion to destroy most of the targets and ignore the rest, as long as you are fast enough.
For the homestretch, two more hanging barrels await, followed by a stationary target on the right side. Finish it up, and you should be getting more than enough points to get the Sacred White Horse.
