Many people expected Rise of the Ronin to be a soulslike game where players had no control over the difficulty settings. However, that is not the case in Team Ninja's newest title. Players have the freedom to choose the difficulty of their liking in Rise of the Ronin. This particular quality will indubitably prove beneficial to those who are not accustomed to unforgiving bosses and just want to enjoy the story. In this guide, players will learn about all the difficulty settings in Rise of the Ronin.
Rise of the Ronin Release Time
Here is when gamers can start playing Team Ninja's Rise of the Ronin.
All Difficulty Settings In Rise of the Ronin
When players boot up the game for the first time, they will have to make a decision regarding the difficulty that they want to play the game on. There are a total of three difficulties in Rise of the Ronin:
- Dawn
- Dusk
- Twilight
Dawn is the easiest difficulty in the game, and it is catered towards those who only want to enjoy the story of the game with the least attention to combat. This particular setting will allow players to recover more health while consuming medicine. It will also reduce the amount of Ki lost from enemy attacks.
You can turn both increased recovery and Ki loss options off in the settings.
Dusk takes things up a notch from Dawn. It is the second-toughest difficulty in Rise of the Ronin. Unlike Dawn, this difficulty puts more onus on combat. This means players have to be sharper while dealing with mobs and bosses in the game. Furthermore, the options to recover increased health and reduce Ki loss are locked. So, players cannot turn them on if they are playing on Dusk difficulty.
Twilight is the most challenging difficulty in Rise of the Ronin. Players who are familiar with Team Ninja's other titles will find this right up their alley. Like the Dusk difficulty, if you decide to play on Twilight, you won't have access to either additional recovery or limiting Ki loss.
