Rise of the Ronin allows players to pick different Blade Sharpening Origin at the beginning of the game. This choice is going to be critical, as it will decide how your stats will be distributed and what kind of special skill you will gain from it. Only after making a decision regarding the Blade Sharpening Origin will players be able to move forward in the story. After playing for a while, it is possible that players may not like the Blade Sharpening Origin that they picked and want to change it. Thankfully, it is possible to respec your character in Rise of the Ronin.
Rise of the Ronin: Should You Kill Or Spare Gonzo?
In Curtain Falls, Curtain Rises, Rise of the Ronin players will have to decide the fate of Gonzo.
How To Respec In Rise of the Ronin
Players won't be able to respec their character until after they have unlocked the Longhouse. To gain access to the Longhouse, players first need to go to the Pleasure District with Sakamoto. After wrapping up the story there, players will need to meet Sakamoto. Head to his location, and you will successfully unlock the Longhouse.
The next step is to purchase a Brush Kit. This particular item can be bought from the Black Marketeer. Luckily, there is one outside the Longhouse. Talk to him and scroll down to Buy Sundries. Here, you will find a Brush Kit for 10 Silver Coins. Buy the item and head inside the Longhouse.
- Go to Relax
- Select Blade Repair
- On the next screen, pick any of the six Blade Sharpening Origin
- Next, you will have to choose the skills that you want to unlock
- After you have assigned the skill points, press the Start button to finalize the selection.
Players should not waste the Brush Kit and only use it if they are not comfortable with their Blade Sharpening Origin.

As you can see from the stats, four of the six Blade Sharpening Origin specialize in one specific field. The other two have the same stats throughout, so it is better to avoid them if you want to specialize in one particular field.
