Rise of the Ronin: How To Unlock More Combat Styles

Each combat style in Rise of the Ronin is linked to the weapons in the game. With nine different weapons, players have the freedom of choice. When you pick a Blade Sharpening Origin, the game will recommend weapons that are best suited for it. For instance, if you go with Killer, then it is better to pick Katana, Greatsword, and Odachi.

If you equip Katana as the Primary Weapon, then you will notice that it has nine different combat styles. Some of them will be locked, while others will be open for use.

How To Unlock More Combat Styles In Rise of the Ronin

In order to unlock more combat styles, players will have to complete various objectives. For instance, if you want to unlock Nodachi Jigen-ryu, you have to improve your bond with Gonzo. This can be done by gifting him different items and completing missions with him. Players can also improve their bond with Gonzo by having conversations with him. During conversations, players will have to pick a certain dialogue that they think will improve their bond with Gonzo.

Rise of the Ronin: How To Get More Combat Styles

Some combat styles can be unlocked in more than one way. If players want to unlock Oxtail Blade's Kihetai Style, they can do so by either improving their bond with Shinsaku Takasugi or by defeating Green-Eye Sanzaemon, who can be found in Hodogaya. It doesn't matter which path players pick as both will unlock this particular combat style.

The last known method of unlocking new combat styles is simply progressing through the stor y. This method will take more time than usual, but at least players won't have to do any additional side quests.

Once you have unlocked a new combat style, go to the Equipment tab to assign the style manually. Players can also upgrade combat styles by meeting the requirements mentioned on their card.
