Vertpaint Studios, a new development team made up of former Rockstar employees, has revealed a teaser for its debut game, Ritual Tides. First revealed via IGN, Vertpaint Studios has shared its debut title, Ritual Tides, which will transport players into a terrifying Lovecraftian world in which they must discover the details of a gruesome narrative. Set on a remote island, players will have to uncover the land's terrifying secrets while battling grotesque enemies and lurking dangers. While gameplay details remain light, Vertpaint Studios has stated that players will need to choose between running or hiding while exploring "a near photo-realistic" environment. Ritual Tides could potentially stand alongside the likes of other popular Lovecraft-inspired horror games, such as Call of Cthulu and The Sinking City, when it launches for PC in Q3 2025.
