After the mini Cosmetic Farm update and the Twilight event, the Buzzy Bee update has finally arrived in Grow a Garden. As usual, it brings a new event called Bee Swarm.

With bees now flying out of the hive and spreading across the farms to do what they do best (mutating fruits), and with a Honey Compressor and Queen Bee sitting in the center, the event might confuse some players about what to do first and how to do it. So, to make things simpler, this guide explains how the Bee Swarm event works in Grow a Garden and how to participate in it.

Grow a Garden's Bee Swarm Event, Explained

Bee Swarm is a limited-time event running from May 31 to June 7 in Grow a Garden. In this event, you'll see a giant Queen Bee hovering in the middle of the event platform, asking you for honey so you can trade it for exciting items in the Honey Shop. On the left, there’s a Honey Compressor NPC who’s ready to make honey for you if you give him Pollinated Fruits, and on the right is a hive full of bees craving your fruits.

Every hour (60 minutes), the bees from the hive fly to your farm and give your fruits a new mutation called “Pollinated.” They stay around your garden for about 10 minutes before returning to the hive. To join in the Bee Swarm event in Grow a Garden, all you have to do is collect the pollinated fruits and give them to the Honey Compressor NPC. Once you hand him 10 kg of pollinated fruits, he starts making honey for you, which takes about three minutes. When the timer ends, you receive 10 jars of honey. Then, just interact with the Queen Bee to buy your favorite items from the Honey Shop.

Since honey is the main currency in the Honey Shop, and getting it from the Bee Swarm event can take some time, you can speed things up by using Bee Swarm pets that pollinate your fruits faster. Keep in mind that the Honey Compressor needs about 10 kg of pollinated fruits to start making honey. Usually, five small pollinated fruits add up to 10 kg, but if you give him larger fruits or a pollinated mushroom, just one of those is enough because they weigh more.
